Seeing Adrian’s smug expression, I let out a light laugh.

“Adrian, Dogs should never dream of becoming masters.”

Adrian’s face went murderous.

For years, Adrian hated anyone mentioning he married into money.

To save his face, I’d given him a VP position at the company-I never expected it would feed his ambitions.

‘Selena. You want to play hardball? This entire hospital is mine now. One word from me and you’re finished!”

Adrian glared at me viciously, then turned to the director.

‘Prep the operating room immediately. Get her in there.”

Then he looked down at me with malice.

‘Selena, if something… unfortunate happened during surgery, I’d inherit everything, wouldn’t I?”

Several guards grabbed me, dragging toward surgery.

Just then, sounds of fighting came from the elevator.

The doors opened and a security guard was kicked out, flying through the air.

Blood sprayed from the guard’s mouth, splattering right at Adrian’s feet.

‘Mr. Kingsley, we’ve got a problem! Hundreds of men surrounding the hospital! Helicopters circling overhead!”

Before Adrian could react-dozen black-suited men stormed out, surrounding him completely.

Clara snarled at them.

‘Do you know who my husband is? How dare you break into Skyline Group’s hospital! Are you all asking for death?

CRACK.

A guard’s boot shattered her kneecap.

Clara dropped straight to her knees. She was crying from the pain but still clutched her belly protectively.

“How dare you lay hands on me! My husband will make you pay!”

She looked toward Adrian, only to see his legs shaking uncontrollably.

Adrian forced fake confidence, glaring at the team leader.

“What do you want? I’m Skyline’s Vice President. Touch me and you’re finished.”

My assistant stood up, looking at Adrian with complete disdain.

“A kept husband playing dress-up?? How pathetic!”

“Call the company. See if anyone still recognizes your fake title.”
