Diana let out a soft, cutting laugh, eyes filled with contempt. “You filthy little tramp–who told you to turn down my check? Was thirty million not enough to buy a worthless maid’s life?”

“Vivian Bennett, filth runs in your blood. Even without the title of Mrs. Foster, you’re still beneath me. You

took what was never yours. This… is your punishment.”

Vivian locked eyes with her, gaze red–rimmed and burning with hatred. “Diana Schuyler, you killed

someone. You will pay with your life.”

“Ha!” Diana’s laughter rang sharp. “That’s a poor person’s rule. All I need is Charles.”

Before she could finish, Vivian heard footsteps closing in from behind.

Charles Foster’s voice fell, cold as ice. “Calling the cops? Vivian… you really don’t know your place.”
