Celeste felt a bit awkward. Zach's reaction just now indicated he recognized her. Since he didn't mention it, Celeste didn't think it was appropriate to address it directly. She extended her hand and said, "Hello Mr. Miller, I'm Celeste."

Zach didn't shake her hand, only nodding his head indifferently.

Celeste was taken aback, and awkwardly retracted her hanging hand.

Mrs. Kidd sensed something was off, but didn't dwell on it, taking the initiative to say, "Let's start the meal, it's about time and everyone is hungry, let's chat while we eat."

Zach laughed, "Had some drinks, and now you want to say some true words?"

Kendrick scoffed, "How strong is beer? My mind is clear."

He pointed at Celeste, "Celeste graduated from the University of T's performing arts program, a prestigious school with outstanding skills. If you have a suitable role for her in your film, consider her. I guarantee she won't disappoint you!"

Once the meal was over, Kendrick went to pay the bill and Zach went to the restroom.

As he came out, Celeste waited for him at the door.

Zach paused and whispered, "Excuse me."

Without beating around the bush, Celeste confronted him head-on, "Mr. Miller, what did you mean by what you said at the table?"

Zach glanced at her, "Ms. Campbell knows what's going on, so why ask me?"

"What do I know?" Celeste felt increasingly confused. "You said earlier that I was toying with others at my auditions? I don't understand why you would say that. Do you think I'm using shady methods by asking others for opportunities to have lunch with you? Or are you still unhappy about my intruding into your room on the day of the audition? I can apologize for that; it was impulsive of me. But as for today's gathering, I only found out Kendrick had invited others after you arrived."
