Liam's hospital bed was surrounded by Skyler, Kaylee, and Shawn, leaving Celeste with no room to breathe.

Nicolas said, "Kaylee, go get some water. Your brother hasn't taken his medicine yet."

Kaylee frowned and said, "Isn't there someone else standing there?"

"Hey, you—"

Before Nicolas could say anything else, Celeste took the cup and said indifferently, "I'll go."

With these people around, Celeste didn't want to stay either. Perfect timing.

As soon as she closed the door, she heard Skyler asking, "What happened last night?"

"Nothing much," Liam replied briefly. "Just bumped into a few troublemakers while drinking, and a conflict started."

"What kind of conflict results in someone getting injured like this? Where's the person who hurt you now?"

"Mom, I can handle this on my own. Don't worry about it."

Skyler was unhappy. "How can I not worry? Look at the state you're in! I didn't even find out about your accident until this afternoon. If someone was taking care of you and I could feel reassured, that would be fine. But you were alone in the hospital all night with no one to even bring you water or food. How am I supposed to feel at ease?"

Celeste pursed her lips. Clearly, this was meant as a criticism towards her.

As a wife, was it right that she didn't know anything when her husband had an accident?

Then, she heard Liam saying, "It's my fault for not telling her. She's afraid of blood and would cry if she saw it, which makes me feel uncomfortable."

Celeste's mood suddenly improved a little. Holding the cup, she went to the coffee room.

"You're bothered by that? Haven't you thought about how your grandmother would feel seeing you like this? Or how I feel?"

Skyler and Kaylee found out through a group photo, but how did Shawn know? And he came with them.
