She let Gareth choose the rest of the vegetables.

While shopping, Gareth received a call from his good friend Lawrence.

“I’m busy. What’s up?”

“I’m at your office. What are you busy with?”

Lawrence was acting like a suspicious wife checking on her husband.

Gareth said impatiently: “Grocery shopping with Maureen. Having dinner together tonight.”

“Didn’t you say Geoffrey’s staying at her place?”

Lawrence’s mouth fell open. “Bro, you should have some morals. He’s still Maureen’s husband. You’re practically offering yourself as the other man. Not cool…”

Gareth hung up right away.

Lawrence spoke without thinking and immediately redialed: “Bro, I was wrong. I have something important.”

Gareth finally listened patiently as he continued.

“Didn’t you tell me before to snatch all the recent projects of the Sutton Group?
