Willie fell silent, unsure how to respond. After a moment, he lowered his voice.

“Don’t tell anyone.

Let me tell you–my uncle doesn’t like Aunt Ruan at all.”

Jacob’s eyes lit up like he’d caught juicy gossip, turning serious now.

“Who told you that?”

“My mom said it when she was talking with Dad. They said Uncle got together with Aunt Andrea because she saved Grandma Gu before.”

Willie whispered: “I even saw Uncle push Aunt Andrea away before.”

Jacob originally just wanted to learn about the Sutton Family from him, never expecting to uncover his scumbag dad’s secret.
