No More Mrs. Nice Wife (Eleanor) novel Chapter 634

Sophia’s face lit up with delight as she looked at Eleanor, a sudden realization dawning in her eyes. “Wait, you’re Eleanor? I’ve read about you in the news! I can’t believe I get to meet you in person. You’re amazing.”

Eleanor offered a modest smile. “You’re very impressive yourself.”

As the words left her lips, Eleanor found herself sizing up this cheerful, open-hearted girl. The two seemed to suit each other perfectly, she thought—Sophia and Mansfield. With a polite nod, Eleanor turned to Mansfield. “I have to get back to the office. There are things I need to take care of. I’ll leave you two to chat.”

Mansfield blinked in surprise. “You’ve only been here, what, fifteen minutes? Can’t you stay a bit longer?”

Eleanor shook her head, her tone apologetic but firm. “You know how hectic work is for me.” She turned to Sophia with a smile. “Miss Sophia, I’m leaving him in your care.”

“Don’t worry, Miss Sutton! I’ll make sure Mansfield’s well looked after,” Sophia replied enthusiastically.

With a nod and a gentle smile, Eleanor slipped out the door.

As the door clicked shut, Mansfield let out a quiet, frustrated sigh. Sophia pulled out a chair to sit down, but when she caught sight of Mansfield’s expression, she paused, immediately picking up on his mood. Without another word, she stood up again. “Mansfield, wait here a second.”

She hurried out, catching up to Eleanor just as she was about to step into the elevator. “Miss Sutton, could you wait a moment?”

Eleanor turned, a bit surprised. “Is something wrong, Miss Sophia?”

“Mansfield’s not feeling well. I just got an urgent call and have to leave. Would you mind staying with him a little longer?”

Concern flickered in Eleanor’s eyes as she heard that Mansfield wasn’t feeling well. Without hesitation, she followed Sophia back to the hospital room. Mansfield watched, puzzled, as Sophia dashed out and returned moments later with Eleanor in tow. Realization dawned as he saw the two women together.

“Mansfield, didn’t you say earlier you felt a little tightness in your chest? I asked Miss Sutton to keep an eye on you, since I have to go.” Sophia picked up her bag, pausing at the door to glance back at him, visibly relieved. “I’m just glad to see you’re okay.”

With that, she slipped out, closing the door quietly behind her.

Mansfield glanced at Eleanor, who was watching him closely. He pressed a hand to his chest and winced. “I did feel a sharp pain here a moment ago.”

“I’ll go find a doctor to check on you,” Eleanor said, her voice full of concern.

He managed a faint smile. “No need, it’s already passed.”

“How do you know?”

“Remember Eleanor?”

“What, that genius scientist everyone in the medical field talks about?”

“That’s her.”

“And you—”

“I think they’re a perfect match. Of course I wish them well.”

“Hey, come on back! If you pull off this test flight, you’ll finally get to fly that fighter jet you’ve always dreamed of.”

Sophia’s eyes sparkled with determination, her posture unwavering—a bold rose blooming in the desert, ready to take on the world.
