No More Mrs. Nice Wife (Eleanor) novel Chapter 816

The vast chasm between their realities gnawed at Faye's heart like a venomous snake. She struggled to maintain a calm facade, but her tightly clenched fists betrayed her inner turmoil.

Laura was secretly in awe. Eleanor was incredibly captivating to have attracted three such handsome men, each one more striking than the last.

Sonya, unsure of the situation, approached with a smile. "Miss Sutton, and this is?" she asked, looking at Xavier, whom she didn't recognize.

"This is my friend, Xavier. He was in Kingston on business and came to see Professor Langley," Eleanor explained, rising to her feet. "This is Professor Langley's sister, Ms. Langley."

"Mr. Vaughn, hello. It's very kind of you to come," Sonya said gratefully.

"Not at all, Ms. Langley," Xavier replied politely.

Sonya looked at Eleanor's pale face with concern. "Miss Sutton, you should go back to the hotel and rest. We can watch over things here. We'll call you if anything changes."

Eleanor was about to protest when Mansfield spoke up in a low voice. "Ms. Langley is right. You need to rest. Dr. Lyman will notify us immediately if there's any change."

"It's fine," Eleanor insisted, shaking her head. "I can manage."

"You've been here for so long, and you even fainted from low blood sugar. We can't have you collapsing," Sonya said, her voice full of genuine concern.

The words "fainted from low blood sugar" hit Ian like a physical blow. His gaze shot to Eleanor, his worry plain to see. He finally understood why she had stumbled when he arrived.
