Dante gave Freya a long, hard look. “With her talent, she’d never need to resort to dirty tricks to get what she wants.

Freya covered her mouth, offering forced apologies to Dante Babin, Skylar, and Tucker.

Tucker apologized to Dante in a gentle tone. “I’m truly sorry. My student didn’t know any better and caused you trouble.” He then pulled Freya forward, making her bow and apologize as well.

Freya was forced to bow and apologize, grinding her teeth in fury.

After all, they were at the same university and would inevitably run into each other. Dante didn’t want things to get too awkward.

Now only Skylar and Freya remained.

Skylar had just turned to leave when Freya, limping unsteadily, blocked her path. “Skylar, you did this on purpose, didn’t you?”

Freya snapped, “You’re so damn talented, yet you just kept your mouth shut and watched me clown around like a complete fool.”

Skylar raised an eyebrow. “You didn’t even ask. If I’d brought it up myself, you’d just say I was showing off. You’re so hard to please.”

Freya’s face flushed as anger surged in her chest. She spat, “Stop playing word games. You had every chance to speak up, but you just stood there and watched me make a fool of myself in front of Mr. Babin. Don’t you dare claim it wasn’t on purpose?”

Skylar replied coolly, “If you didn’t want to embarrass yourself, you could’ve kept your mouth shut. But you just had to, didn’t you? So who else can you blame but yourself?”
