Laura snatched the plantains and apples back and called out, “Then don’t eat them.”

Jeremy and Elaine threw the apple they ate half at Laura’s feet.

Laura thought it was ridiculous and he sneered, “Didn’t you eat too? Why don’t you admit it?”

Rachel shrugged innocently and said firmly, “We didn’t. Nothing on this island belongs to us so we didn’t eat it!”
