Mo Siyu spoke unhurriedly: "I’m a sports teacher. I usually train with my students, which makes me quite fit. This leg was just an unlucky fall."
"Oh, I see." A glint flashed in the man’s eyes as he looked at Mo Siyu’s profile, taking in his tall stature. His voice dropped a few notches, "So you’re a sports teacher."
"Yeah, I’m tall and don’t really excel at anything else. Being a sports teacher isn’t too bad." Mo Siyu replied coolly, standing up and then putting most of his weight on the man, wincing as he took a sharp breath of pain.
"Hey, don’t let go." Mo Siyu shouted as a large hand covered his mouth.
A fierce glint flashed through Mo Siyu’s eyes, as the weakness he had shown earlier instantly dissipated.
The man planned on knocking him out, changing into his hospital clothes, making him look more battered, and then driving him out of Jiang City. Once out of Jiang City, he would be free to do as he pleased, like a fish in the sea or a bird in the sky.
Mo Siyu stooped down swiftly, grabbed the man’s arm, and with a slick set of grappling moves, attacked the man’s vulnerable abdomen, subduing him almost in the blink of an eye.
The man seemed not to expect Mo Siyu to fight back, and moreover, his previously weak appearance now seemed fierce to him.
The man realized something was wrong, but it was too late to back out.
Killing him, he could continue to hide here and seek another opportunity.
The man’s eyes glinted with murderous intent. Even though he was subdued, he quickly drew a dagger from behind his waist and stabbed it towards Mo Siyu.
He had learned some martial arts, and ordinary men were no match for him, especially with his reckless fighting style that made others wary.
The dagger’s cold light grazed Mo Siyu’s face, yet his expression remained unchanged. Even with just one working leg, he was more agile than the man. By grabbing the man’s wrist hard, he used the man’s force to step back, turned his body to the side, and with his hands’ strength alone, made the man lose his aim.
As the dagger sliced in front of him, Mo Siyu took the opportunity to strike the man’s arm with his palm.
The man’s arm went numb.
Mo Siyu quickly seized his hand, stabbing it into the man’s belly, blood oozing out. Without giving the man any chance to counterattack, Mo Siyu pulled out a rope previously prepared from his waist and tied the man’s hands behind his back, severely restricting his movements.
"Who are you?" The man looked at Mo Siyu incredulously, having been on guard for everything, he had never expected Mo Siyu to be a practitioner, especially seeing how frail he looked with his injured leg.
The man was desperate. He couldn’t be captured. If he was, the Jade Buddha he’d stolen with great effort would be useless. His leg kicked frantically towards Mo Siyu’s.
Mo Siyu efficiently popped open the trunk, pushed the man in with one hand and a kick.
With a loud ’bang,’ the trunk shut, and the car thumped noisily.
"I’m telling you, you won’t find the Jade Buddha even if you capture me. Qin Huai’an really chose someone with a useless leg. Seems he’s really pushed to a desperate corner," the man yelled angrily, recalling how he had noticed Mo Siyu’s genuine leg injury, which had not been fully exerted upon.
This made the man feel even more aggrieved. What kind of person was this? With an injured leg and yet still captured him.
The man grew more upset as he thought about it, ranting to feel better.
"Me? Even if I didn’t move, you wouldn’t be a match for me," Mo Siyu said with a haughty and arrogant tone, oozing confidence.
Over the years, Mo Siyu’s martial arts skills had been continuously improving. Even with an injured leg and without any weapons, the man stood no chance against him.
"Bullshit!"
"Hey, you’re not getting cold feet, are you?"
