"Is this what you said?" Tang Yue’s eyes instantly lit up, and she revealed a sweet smile, stretching out a slender finger, she said word by word: "From now on, whether good or bad, you are not allowed to lie to me."
"Don’t hurry to answer, if you can’t do it, I won’t let it go so easily!" Tang Yue kindly reminded him.
"Hmm." Mo Siyu nodded and said, "Xiao Yue, from now on, good or bad, I won’t lie to you."
"You’re not swearing?" Tang Yue mumbled after a moment’s realization.
"If swearing were useful, then why would there still be so many people betraying their oaths?" Mo Siyu retorted.
Tang Yue murmured: "That’s true, then my three-Chapter agreement is useless."
She puffed up her cheeks in frustration, this matter couldn’t just be let go.
"Then marry me quickly, and I will prove it with time," Mo Siyu said like a big bad wolf luring Little Red Riding Hood.
Tang Yue glared at him, reminding him, "I’m only eighteen this year, just an adult, are you sure you can marry me?"
"Why not?" Mo Siyu laughed: "We can get engaged first, then get married. That way, everyone will know that you’re my fiancée, and you can’t run away."
Mo Siyu looked so eager as if he was afraid Tang Yue would run away.
Tang Yue simply couldn’t be bothered with him and changed the subject: "So, are we going back to the motor pool now? Or shall we walk around?"
"Xiao Yue, what I just said is true." Mo Siyu said earnestly.
"The two-year promise has not yet been reached," Tang Yue said cheerfully, feeling sweet inside.
On the way back, Tang Yue saw a place selling magazines, and she bought quite a few to pass the time in the dormitory. She also went to the market and bought lots of vegetables, planning to make a delicious meal in the evening.
As soon as she returned to the motor pool, Tang Yue borrowed the canteen’s stove and began cooking dinner.
She first stewed a big pot of bone soup. Though it might not be a huge nourishment for Mo Siyu, at least it was something nutritious.
For pork belly, she planned to stew it with potatoes to make red braised pork, with potatoes mixed in to reduce the greasiness.
Seeing her favorite little loaches on sale, she couldn’t help but buy them—fried and then stir-fried, the taste was simply incredible.
Then she prepared a smashed cucumber salad, stir-fried bean sprouts, and Mapo Tofu. With meaty and vegetarian dishes, and plentiful portions, it was enough for seven or eight people to eat.
Worried that their training was exhausting and they wouldn’t have enough to eat, Tang Yue made especially large portions for each dish.
She organized these dishes methodically. Mo Siyu, sitting in the wheelchair, watched Tang Yue busily working in the kitchen the entire time. Every dish, from washing to final cooking, was made by Tang Yue’s own hands.
The big bone stewed with Chinese yam—the two large marrow bones were all stewed in one big pot. As it cooked for a long time, the meaty aroma filled the kitchen.
The fragrance of red braised pork with potatoes made everyone want to swallow their saliva with envy.
"Little sister-in-law is really amazing," Xue Le exclaimed excitedly. He always looked up to Brother Mo, and now, seeing Brother Mo’s girl, he joined everyone in calling her little sister-in-law.
