Mo Siyu cautiously asked, fearing Tang Yue would disdain him.
"Disdain." As soon as Tang Yue finished speaking, Mo Siyu’s heart leapt.
Tang Yue continued: "I disdain that you work so hard and don’t take care of your body. There are things you need to do, but selfishly, I don’t want you to strain yourself this much."
"What would I do if something happened to you?" Tang Yue didn’t know how to express herself, but when she had heard Mo Siyu was in the hospital, that worried feeling, and every time Mo Siyu went on a long trip, her heart would always be in her throat.
"Xiao Yue, I’m tough." Knowing she was distressed, Mo Siyu held her hand tightly and said, "I haven’t married you yet; I definitely won’t let anything happen to myself. Plus, I want to be with you for a lifetime. When you’re old and can’t walk, I’ll carry you."
’Pfft’
Tang Yue was amused and laughed, she pursed her lips and said, "Uncle Mo, don’t be shameless. When I’m too old to walk, you definitely won’t be able to walk either – you’re six years older than me."
"What does being six years older matter? I’m strong and can definitely carry you." Mo Siyu raised his arm to show off his biceps.
"Xiao Yue." Mo Siyu pulled her to sit in front of him and redressed, saying, "Did your dad recover? Is your mom’s illness better now?"
"Dad, mom?" Tang Yue was taken aback.
Mo Siyu pinched her nose and said, "You are my fiancée, isn’t it natural for me to call them dad and mom?"
"We started calling them that since we got engaged." Mo Siyu reminded.
Tang Yue blushed, just remembering this.
Her eyes darted around as she asked, "That day you called me, could it be Uncle Tang, Aunt Tang..."
"Cough." Mo Siyu cleared his throat and said, "I was anxious that day..."
"Uncle Mo."
"Si Yu." Mo Siyu corrected: "Call me Si Yu, it sounds nice."
"I won’t, I’ll just call you Uncle Mo, Uncle Mo, Uncle Mo." Tang Yue said triumphantly, no longer fretting over the matter. The two were getting cozy together, chatting endlessly, and as Mo Siyu’s IV finished, his hands were free to start getting mischievous.
After a long while...
Tang Yue laughed joyfully, as Mo Siyu watched her with unfulfilled desires.
"It’s not my fault; it’s just your dirty mind." Tang Yue righteously said.
"It’s because you are too tempting." Mo Siyu took a deep breath; although he was injured, his body was still fine, and having the woman he loved in his arms and not reacting would indeed be the problem.
Tang Yue glanced at him and turned away, ignoring him. She started to tidy up the hospital room; though a single room wasn’t big, it was at least quiet.
At noon, Zhao Xiangqian didn’t come; it was Yan Dong who came. He sweetly greeted, "Brother Mo, little sister-in-law, I’ve gotten your meal, I’ll leave now."
Yan Dong put down the meal and left.
"Uncle Mo, I’m going home for a bit." Tang Yue spoke up, saying, "I’ll take a shower at home and come back."
"I’ll have Yan Dong take you." Mo Siyu said.
Tang Yue didn’t even get a chance to refuse.
At Mo Siyu’s call, Yan Dong, not far away, came over immediately and agreed to take the little sister-in-law home.
On the way back to the alley, Yan Dong followed a few steps behind Tang Yue, close enough to assist if any unexpected situation arose, but far enough to keep a respectful distance.
"Little sister-in-law, last time you went back to your hometown, it was a pity Brother Mo’s feast went to waste." Yan Dong intentionally spoke in favor for Brother Mo.
