When hungry at night, Qin Anyu asked the soldiers for help to make formula milk, Tang You’an still cried while eating.
As it was already deep into the night and everyone was asleep, Qin Anyu held the child softly comforting him, and as she watched Tang You’an cry, she felt like crying herself.
Such a little ancestor.
"Anyu, if it’s really too much, we can hire a nanny," Chu Hong, who saw Qin Anyu at her wit’s end after being tormented by the baby, blurted out the nanny suggestion he had made many times before.
Qin Anyu gave him a glare and said, "What’s the use of hiring a nanny? Isn’t Anan still going to be uneasy around strangers? It’s better for me to do it than hiring a nanny."
Qin Anyu held Tang You’an in her arms, singing nursery rhymes and coaxing him to sleep.
Chu Hong was baffled by the glare. He was only feeling sympathetic towards Qin Anyu. Although the sight of Qin Anyu holding the baby and soothing him was pleasing, the child really seemed as if he were made of water.
He was a patient himself, and couldn’t properly recover with all the commotion caused by Tang You’an. But watching the gentle way Qin Anyu soothed the child, radiating with maternal glory, Chu Hong found himself unable to say anything.
When Tang Mingli and Wei Jiajia arrived, they were greeted with this scene. The sight of Tang You’an, still sobbing as he was falling asleep, broke Wei Jiajia’s heart.
"Anan." Wei Jiajia nearly entered with tears in her eyes.
"It’s so good that you’re back," Qin Anyu said to Wei Jiajia as if she had seen a savior.
Tang You’an, half-asleep, seemed to feel Wei Jiajia’s presence, and instantly opened his tear-reddened eyes, and with a pout, he cried, "Mommy."
"Mommy is here," Wei Jiajia excitedly held Tang You’an. Feeling his mother’s presence, Tang You’an instantly relaxed, hummed and found a comfortable spot, and fell asleep with his eyes closed.
"Where is Xiao Yue? Did she come back too?" Qin Anyu looked behind them, not seeing Tang Yue’s figure.
Wei Jiajia soothed Tang You’an, her tears falling like rain.
Tang Mingli remained silent with a grim look, saying, "When we arrived, Xiao Yue had been taken away. We found the kidnapper eventually, and it seems Si Yu was the one who took her. But, we still haven’t found Xiao Yue and don’t know how she is now."
At the time, he too had been in the hotel room. The room was a mess, and there was that camera, though in the end they smashed it to pieces, but it had been a long time since the incident with Tang Yue, who knows if Tang Yue had been bullied?
Tang Mingli only hated himself for not kicking them a few more times in that hotel room; they got off too easy.
Tang Mingli was worried but felt helpless. Right now, no one could contact Mo Siyu, and without seeing Tang Yue, Tang Mingli just couldn’t bring himself to sleep.
He had promised his second brother to protect Xiao Yue well, but who would have known, Xiao Yue got into trouble, and he, as her uncle, was completely useless.
If it wasn’t for Bai Qing and her friend, along with Zhao Xiangqian and others, he wouldn’t even know who had taken Xiao Yue.
"Si Yu took her away, she must be alright," Qin Anyu was immediately reassured, as she wasn’t at the scene and didn’t know the situation.
Meanwhile, Chu Hong’s eyes flashed as he wondered where exactly Mo Si might have taken her.
