"No."
Mo Siyu caught Tang Yue’s hand as she tried to light a flame everywhere, his voice slightly hoarse.
"Why not?" Tang Yue pouted. A fire seemed to be raging in her heart -- perhaps due to the drug’s effect, Tang Yue was bolder than usual. She leaned toward him and said with a sob, "You also want me, so why not?"
"Can you really bear to see me suffer?" Tang Yue hugged Mo Siyu tightly, looking at him with grievance in her eyes.
"This is our first time; it shouldn’t be like this. You’ve been drugged, it will be very painful." Mo Siyu patiently explained with a hoarse voice. He himself wanted her, but the drug was strong, and if he really took her, it would inevitably hurt her.
Mo Siyu did not want and was not willing to hurt her, especially since he did not want the woman he valued most to have such an unpleasant experience.
Mo Siyu couldn’t care less at that point; he put the large tub under the tap, and as water splashed out, he scooped Tang Yue up sideways with a stride of his long legs and placed her into the tub.
The cold water made Tang Yue somewhat sober.
Mo Siyu sat with her in the icy water, slowly filling it up, while hugging her tightly, trying to divert Tang Yue’s attention.
Water from the tap kept pouring out, and the water in the tub overflowed, eventually flowing onto the cement flooring that had an exit drain.
Mo Siyu’s voice was soft in her ear as he talked about the dangerous situations he encountered on missions in the past, instantly shifting Tang Yue’s thoughts. His hand held hers and placed it over his body, "Xiao Yue, do you know how I got this scar?"
Mo Siyu’s words gradually diverted Tang Yue’s attention.
"And here, it’s because..."
In the house, there was only the sound of flowing water, keeping the tub forever cool.
Mo Siyu gently recounted the origin of each scar on his body and the circumstances at that time; Tang Yue cried until her throat was hoarse, her eyes swollen like walnuts.
"Si Yu, don’t work so hard, you still have me." Tang Yue hugged his body tightly -- there were several times when she almost lost him.
"I don’t need you to be Mr. Mo, and I don’t want to be the wife of a billionaire. I just want you to be safe and sound," Tang Yue said as she leaned into his embrace.
"Phut~"
Mo Siyu chuckled lightly, saying, "Xiao Yue, you think too highly of me. A billionaire, do you know how much money that takes?"
Mo Siyu’s chin rested on Tang Yue’s forehead as he said, "But, I think I can still make an effort. How about making you a billionaire’s wife in the future?"
"Si Yu, I believe in you; you will definitely make it. But I don’t want you to work too hard," Tang Yue pouted, "I’m selfish; I don’t want you to be in danger. We’re not lacking money now; I don’t want you to push yourself so hard."
Tang Yue’s swollen eyes looked at him, her eyelashes still damp.
"Xiao Yue, I will cherish my own life, I still want to grow old with you," Mo Siyu said lightly. He wanted to bring Tang Yue glory.
Suddenly, Mo Siyu asked, "Xiao Yue, are you cold?"
"A little." Tang Yue couldn’t help but shiver.
Mo Siyu quickly stood up from the water and said, "Xiao Yue, come on, get up, don’t catch a cold."
"Am I, better?" Tang Yue then realized that the previous heat, which felt like it was coming from inside out, seemed to have really disappeared.
"Come." Mo Siyu pulled Tang Yue out and began to undress her.
