Tang Jun and a few others have been at the company for more than ten days now, and it's hard to say whether they've gotten tanned or lost weight.
"Alright."
Once Zhang Hualian heard that her son was coming home, she went to the market to buy groceries with Tang Yue.
The mother and daughter were busy all afternoon, mostly with Zhang Hualian doing the work, while Tang Zhengde helped with the cooking at the end. Tang Yue was sent to rest.
According to Zhang Hualian, Tang Yue's hands were precious, needed for drawing designs and making clothes. She couldn't bear to have her daughter's hands damaged by cooking oil and spices.
Tang Yue didn't insist further. The machinery for the Mingyue Branch Factory had already been installed, and they had hired quite a few people. To Tang Yue's surprise, many sisters-in-law near Jing City were willing to sign up to work at the Mingyue Branch Factory.
They lived close to Jing City and had nothing much to do at home, mostly just taking care of children. Now with such a good job at the clothing factory, everyone was happy. As for the children, there were elders at home who could help look after them. Some sisters-in-law had older children who were mostly staying in dormitories, so they didn't have to worry about them.
Tang Yue's designs were ongoing. Peng Yufei, Xin Jiar, and Sun Qing's designs, after her revision, were all pretty good. They were already being produced in Wangjiang County's factory and selling well. Tang Yue was giving them more and more opportunities.
Their designs, mixed with Tang Yue's, kept the Ming Yue Clothing Factory constantly releasing new styles. Right now, her primary focus was on the Star Bright side.
In the studio's makeshift office, Tang Yue turned on the computer. She was slowly getting used to drawing on the computer, which sometimes produced better colors than hand-drawing. Of course, it could also somewhat relieve her hands. When tired of the computer, she would switch to drawing on paper with her hands.
Sometimes when her hands were tired, she would draw on the computer, and that's how inspiration often came.
The studio was quiet, with Peng Yufei and the others each busy with their work. The bustle made Tang Yue feel fulfilled.
Before dinner, Tang Jun and the others returned by moonlight looking as thin and dark as skinny monkeys. Tang Yue took a close look at Tang Jun and asked seriously, "Xiao Jun, you didn't go to Fei Country, did you? You've tanned so much, almost like charcoal."
"You're the one who went to Fei Country." Tang Jun's face darkened as he said, "Sis, I'm a grown man, what's wrong with being a bit thin?"
"Xiao Jun, you're not just a bit thin, you're also dark." Tang Yue pulled Tang Jun into the house, and under the light, he was much darker than before he joined the transportation fleet.
"Am I... really... that... dark?" Tang Jun lifted his arm, looking at his dark arm, his words revealing a guilty conscience.
"Sis, can't you say something nice?"
Tang Jun glanced down and didn't have any retort because he really had gotten darker and thinner. His stomach was so sunken he felt like he could eat a whole cow.
"Mum and Dad made your favorite braised pork, stir-fried little yellow fish, and sweet and sour ribs," Tang Yue said, with each dish mentioned, she heard Tang Jun gulping.
Tang Yue chuckled and urged, "You guys better wash your hands quickly, we're all waiting to have dinner."
Tang Yue went into the kitchen to bring out the cooked food.
