In the afternoon, Tang Yue tidied up her clothes briefly. She didn't have a lot, but she definitely had more than a few, filling an entire wardrobe, two-thirds of which were hers, and the remaining third belonged to Meng Siyu.
Lunch was late, and they had simple egg noodles for dinner. Tang Yue cuddled up on the sofa drawing drafts when Meng Siyu snatched them away from her.
"Wife, let's not draw this," Meng Siyu squeezed next to her and said, "Let's do something meaningful."
"Ahβ¦" Tang Yue looked defensive.
Meng Siyu innocently explained, "I mean this."
Meng Siyu took out two ceramic blanks and said, "I made these myself. You draw on them, and I'll have a friend fire them up. Then, they'll be unique cups in the whole world."
"Where did you get these?" Tang Yue excitedly grabbed the blanks and immediately became interested when she saw the paints Meng Siyu had brought over.
Tang Yue looked at the vibrant paints, pondering what design to draw.
An idea struck her.
Her eyes lit up, and she began to paint on the cups, drawing a cute boy on one and a cute girl on the other, pairing them together with a red heart.
Tang Yue was quite skilled at painting, and in no time, both cups were beautifully done.
"Wife, you're amazing," Meng Siyu praised. "Add our names, and they'll truly be unique to us."
Tang Yue added the character 'Yu' to the boy's cup and 'Yue' to the girl's cup.
"Let me see."
Tang Yue still wanted to check if there was anything to add, but Meng Siyu had already lovingly taken the cups away.
"Wife, I'll bring them back once they're fired," Meng Siyu said joyfully, carefully putting the cups away before dashing out, looking nothing like the King of Soldiers, but rather a complete fool.
That foolish smile, wasn't it just a big silly one.
Uh, this big fool's smile seemed a bitβ¦
Before Tang Yue could step back, Meng Siyu had already swept her off her feet, claiming it was post-dinner exercise to aid digestion.
"Si Yu~"
"Uncle Mo."
"Husband~"
Tang Yue tried every nickname, but none could stop Meng Siyu's determination to 'devour' her, even though he had promised to let her rest today, but...
"Meng Siyu, you're too bullying," Tang Yue tiredly flung a pillow at Meng Siyu, and also felt helplessly defeated by her lack of stamina compared to him who was always energetically ready.
"Wife, my bad, I promise not to touch you," Meng Siyu climbed onto the bed with the pillow, coaxing Tang Yue and affectionately said, "Wife, you are just too tempting."
Tang Yue was so mad she glared, planning to ignore him tomorrow when she returned home.
The light went out, Meng Siyu approached her, and she dodged.
Meng Siyu really didn't touch her then. Tang Yue breathed a sigh of relief and drifted off to sleep.
It was not until Tang Yue's breathing evened out that Meng Siyu gently pulled her into his arms, kissed her forehead softly, and smiled, saying, "Wife, I couldn't control myself."
