After Tang Yue bolted the door, she grabbed a set of clothes and went to take a shower. Wrapped in the quilt that smelled of the sun, she dozed off in a daze.
Yesterday when she left, she told Li Yi to inform Meng Siyu that she had returned to the Lian Family.
Meng Siyu, she had no idea when he would come.
In her dream, Tang Yue was still pondering over this matter, when suddenly she felt enveloped by a warm presence, and someone was kissing her.
With the familiar scent, Tang Yue opened her eyes groggily and could make out Meng Siyu in the darkness.
"How did you get in?"
She had certainly locked the door well. This was the third floor; the balcony had a nice view, but this was the third floor!
"Window ledge." Meng Siyu kissed her. After his work was done, he heard that she had gone to the Lian Family, so he immediately came over. He couldn’t rest easy with his wife alone at the Lian Family.
"This is the third floor!"
Tang Yue’s sleepiness vanished instantly.
"It’s nothing." Meng Siyu said proudly.
"Meng, Si, Yu!"
Tang Yue said through clenched teeth, biting Meng Siyu’s shoulder.
"Wife, I was wrong." Meng Siyu admitted his fault.
"Wrong about what?" Tang Yue kept biting him without letting go, her words unclear.
Meng Siyu held her tight without letting go, saying, "Next time, I won’t come through the window ledge."
"Hmph."
Tang Yue let go of her bite and glanced at the neat bite marks on his shoulder. Puffing her cheeks, she gave him a stare and said, "Safety first, if you disregard your own safety again next time, I’ll ignore you."
This was the third floor. Although she knew he was capable, what if something happened?
"Wifey." Meng Siyu planted a heavy kiss on her cheek, his voice deep and the end rising in tone, tickling her heart like a feather, as his deep, affectionate eyes gazed at her.
Tang Yue thought he looked so dashing that she couldn’t help but swallow hard and asked, "So next time, you won’t climb through the window again, right?"
"Hmm." Meng Siyu answered promptly. Not climbing through the window, he could simply use the door, right?
With Meng Siyu there, Tang Yue had no chance of falling asleep. It wasn’t until dawn was about to break that Meng Siyu finally let her rest, cuddling her as they fell into a deep sleep.
Early morning.
Old Sir Lian was somewhat shocked to see Meng Siyu, and asked, "When did you get here?"
Meng Siyu truly was, as Lian He had said, an outstanding man.
"Last night." Meng Siyu replied, while Old Sir Lian sized him up, Meng Siyu was also assessing him.
"Hmph, change those guards tomorrow." Old Sir Lian huffed angrily. Those people were really useless; fortunately, it was Meng Siyu. If it had been someone else, they might not even know how they died.
