ALINA’S POV

I was beginning to wonder what was going on inside when the unmistakable disgusting sound of them making out reached my ears.

Bile rose in my throat.

Having had enough, I pulled out my phone from my purse and pretended to be on a call, just so they could have enough time to compose themselves.

“It’s not your business where I am, Lucian. I don’t belong to you. Back off.” I spoke loudly, making sure my voice carried into the room

“Are there tulips in there?” He asked, rubbing his nose with his bandaged arm

“No, those are lilies. I know you’re allergic to tulips, so I wouldn’t bring those.” I replied sweetly, shooting him a smile for good measure.

Truth was, I had spritzed some tulip fragrance on the lilies–not enough to cause a severe reaction, but just enough to make him uncomfortable.

He observed the flowers skeptically, but all he could see were libes.

“How do you feel?” I asked, steering the conversation away from his obvious discomfort.

“Horrible.” He stiffed, his nose already turning red. “The doctor said I have a couple of broken ribs and that I’ll have to stay in the hospital for some time.

Sucks to be him. But honestly, I was glad to see him in pain. I just wished I had been the one to cause it. But alas, I had to make do of

“Okay.” I responded. “Do you want me to peel some fruit for you?” I asked, using the excuse to finally pull my hands away from his.

“Let me just quickly go wash it in the bathroom,” I said, standing up and taking some fruits. But just as I was about to make my way toward the bathroom, his voice startled me
