Rebirth Of The Heiress And The Tycoon's Lover (Alina) novel Chapter 66

Chapter 66

ALINA’S POV.

We got to the hospital, and Jordan parked the car in an open space. But before he could step out, I spoke.

“You’re going to keep what happened today between us, right, Jordan?” I asked, referring to my unexpected meeting with

Cobi.

“You have nothing to worry about, ma’am. Mr. Jay seemed like a person that would hurt me if you ever got hurt under my watch, so I know for a fact that he cares about you.”Jordan replied in a serious but respectful tone.

Mr. Cobi? Really? I almost snorted.

I nearly laughed at how polite Jordan was. He was too polite for his own good. I could already imagine Cobi’s face twisting in disgust at the title Mr.

“Plus, you seem happier after the visit, so don’t worry. I won’t say a word to the boss.” He assured me with a small smile.

“Thank you, Jordan.” I said as relief washed over me.

With that, we entered the hospital. As we approached Seraphina’s room, I began to hear voices from inside. Honestly, I didn’t need to eavesdrop, they were pretty loud.

“Why do I have to apologize to her?” Seraphina snapped, her voice shrill with frustration like the spoiled brat that she was.

“Because we need to get on her good grace,” Silas snapped back, his tone tight with irritation. “Elena, talk to your child.” He added in frustration.

Oh, so they weren’t making her apologize for nearly killing me, but because they wanted to get on my good side? How heartless could this family of three get?

“Sweetheart, please listen to your father, okay?” Elena cooed, trying to sound gentle. “We need Alina to help us get a project from Mr. Blackwood, and he’s already mad at you for stabbing her. Only she can talk to him, and for her to do that, you need to apologize, and make it look real too.”

“But-”

“If you don’t do it, then you can forget about the new bag you said you wanted.” Silas cut her off without remorse.

“That’s not fair.” She whined.

“Well, life isn’t fair.” Silas retorted coldly.

One thing about Silas, nothing could come between him and his money, not even his precious daughter.

“Fine, I’ll do it.” Seraphina huffed with a reluctant sigh.

Having listened enough, I decided it was time to make my presence known.

“I need you in there with me, Jordan. And no matter what I say to make you leave, don’t leave.” I told him in a low and steady

voice.

“Alright, ma’am.” He nodded in understanding before pushing the door open for me.

As I walked in, Silas and Elena’s faces immediately lit up.

Of course, it wasn’t because they were happy to see me, it was more like they were relieved to see their cash cow in one

piece.

Their expressions fell the moment they spotted Jordan trailing behind me.

“Alina!” Elena didn’t waste a second jumping into character. She approached and pulled me into a hug. “How are you, darling? You look pale, are you okay?” She asked with exaggerated concern.

Was she dumb? I was naturally pale. What was she even talking about?

“I’m fine, Mother. Just feeling a bit under the weather.” I said in a smooth tone.

“Make sure you see a doctor before you leave the hospital, okay?” Silas added with fake fatherly care.

These people were comical.

“Will do, Father.” I responded, maintaining a pleasant tone.

Seraphina scoffed, making both Silas and Elena shoot her warning glares.

“How are you feeling, Phina?” I turned my attention to her.

She looked fine, with her already made up face. She was pretending to be sick and can’t even look the part.

“Fine.” She snapped, not even glancing my way.

“Don’t you have something to say to Alina?” Silas asked through clenched teeth, he was clearly running out of patience.

“I’m sorry for stabbing you. It wasn’t intentional. I was mad and acted without thinking.” She rushed out, eyes rolling.

Was she serious right now?

I could practically feel Silas’s glare burning into her, but she didn’t care at all, she just kept pressing her phone.

“It’s alright. It’s all in the past.” I told her with a small smile, though inside I was as cold as ice.

I honestly didn’t care about her lame ass apology. She would get what was coming, and soon.

“Yes, it is all in the past. Seraphina is still a child, and children do dumb stuff all the time.” Elena added with a chuckle.

Who the hell did she think she was talking to? Seraphina was twenty-four, the same age as me. A grown-ass woman. What

did she mean a child?

“Ma’am, we have to go. Boss is asking about your whereabouts.” Jordan said firmly from behind me.
