Upon hearing her, Stefan looked at her and said indifferently, "Yes."
The beautiful woman slightly curved her lips, sitting across from him, "Then, may I take a seat first and get to know you?"
He tactfully responded, "Sorry, I have an appointment."
"Then... can I have your number?"
Stefan pulled a business card from his wallet, handed it to her, and said, "This is my assistant's phone number."
The woman's expression slightly stiffened. She accepted the business card, smiled politely, got up, and left.
When Ariana saw that the woman was gently rejected, she was immediately more satisfied with Stefan.
She immediately got up and headed towards the restaurant.
Just as the beautiful woman left, Stefan saw Ariana approaching him, raising his eyebrows slightly.
Without any apology, Ariana said, "Sorry, I am late."
"It's okay."
Stefan indifferently signaled a waiter over; he did not see Lambert, which was somewhat surprising.
She curved her lips slightly and smiled, "It's just you and me."
Stefan noticed her tone was a bit odd, slightly raising his eyebrows, "May I ask what brings you here, Miss White?"
"I heard you express interest in Allison... I think it will benefit both parties if the Jay and Morris families were to marry and cooperate."
"Really?"
Stefan's cool gaze slightly constricted. It was evident that he had already started to dislike her.
"Why do you believe that I will listen to your advice?"
He was interested in Allison because Stefan felt that the woman who deliberately ate a lot of meat was quite real, but Stefan wouldn't do unreasonable things for her.
Ariana laughed softly and said, "So, you won't agree to my terms?"
"Please help yourself!" Stefan nodded slightly, as a courtesy, and was about to get up and leave.
Seeing this, she quickly said, "Wait!"
Stefan paused and turned to look at her, waiting for her next words.
Ariana smirked, stood up, and slightly bent over, saying with an apologetic tone, "Please excuse my rudeness, I was merely attempting to test you, Mr. Morris."
He realized Ariana's previous actions were simply to test his reaction, raising an eyebrow slightly.
Ariana raised her hand, indicating, "Mr. Morris, please sit, let's start again."
After Stefan sat back down, Ariana sincerely apologized again, "Allison is a good friend of mine, so, please excuse my offense."
Even though Ariana was satisfied with her probing earlier, she felt that she had indeed offended Stefan.
He could return to listen to her now, showed that Stefan was quite a gentleman, and had enough patience towards females.
Stefan said, "Understood."
Ariana curved her lips slightly and asked, "Do you truly understand, Mr. Morris?"
He replied calmly, "The woman just now was sent by Ms. White to confuse me, wasn’t she?"
She laughed lightly, "Yes."
Indeed, communicating with smart people never required much effort.
Feeling a bit depressed, Ariana went to the restroom and heard a loud thump as if something was slammed hard onto the floor.
She was slightly taken aback, thinking someone had fallen. However, when she walked in, she was surprised to find Beverly.
It was Beverly's phone that caused the earlier clamor, having been smashed onto the floor.
This was the first time Ariana saw Beverly after the day Beverly inexplicably didn't come to work. Coincidentally, she bumped into her during her emotional meltdown.
Seeing Beverly slumped on the floor, Ariana couldn't help but ask, "What's going on?"
Upon hearing her voice, Beverly paused slightly, leveled her gaze at Ariana with fierce resentment in her eyes, and said, "It's none of your business!"
Ever since that day, she had shut herself at home until today when she finally returned to work.
Because she hadn't received any messages from Vincent these few days, Beverly assumed that he was merely venting his anger at her that day. Unexpectedly, she received another message from him, and it was just a simple line of four words.
Eight o'clock, Falcon Hotel!
Ha!
The rightful heir to the mighty Lawrence Group, reduced to being threatened by a destitute Vincent, forced to be his sex slave!
Ariana hesitated momentarily, retracting the unnecessary sympathy, and calmly walked towards the mirror to touch up her makeup.
On seeing Ariana so indifferent, Beverly could not help but scorn, "Ariana, you are very pleased with yourself, aren't you?"
She slightly raised her eyebrow, looking from the mirror to the agitated Beverly, and returned the question calmly, "And why would you ask that?"
Beverly sneered, "Ha! Everything you have now should have been mine!"
Vincent is Ariana’s fiancé. If Ariana had not left him to steal her fiancé, she would not have met the insane Vincent.
