Stefan said in a suppressed voice, "To the hospital."
"Oh! Okay!"
Allison quickly helped Stefan up and hurriedly took him to the hospital.
When they arrived at the hospital, a handsome doctor in a white coat looked shocked when he saw Stefan lying on the bed.
"What happened to you?"
Eugene Graham was in the same circle as Lambert and Stefan. However, Eugene had been too busy with surgeries to attend their gatherings.
He was here now because the higher-ups notified him that the head of Morris Group, Stefan, was injured and no one dared to treat him personally. As such, Eugene, as the deputy dean, had stepped in.
Allison said anxiously, "Doctor, he... he just got kicked by me and it seems... he has fractured a bone.”
"Fracture?"
Eugene asked surprisingly, "Where did you kick?"
She froze for a moment, blushing as she said, “I kicked...the...the perineum..."
He was slightly stunned, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly, "I understand, you go out first, and I will check."
Allison looked worriedly at Stefan, "Could he possibly..."
Eugene looked somewhat amused, "I won't know until I've examined him myself. Do you stay and see?"
She froze momentarily before politely declining, "I... I'll pass on that."
After Allison left, Eugene raised an eyebrow at Stefan, "Isn't she the heiress of the Jay Corporation, how are you involved with her?"
Allison is moderately well-known among the socialites. It's rumored that she's rather arrogant and rude. On the other hand, Stefan hardly ever had any notable entanglements with women.
Therefore, it truly surprised Eugene that Stefan would be connected to her.
Stefan's face, which was previously marked with pain, relaxed to an indifferent expression. He curled his lips and asked, "Strange?"
Eugene laughed, and said, "Definitely, playing with innocent girls doesn’t seem like your style."
Stefan replied, "Just play along."
"Alright then."
Shrugging his shoulders, Eugene left the room.
Allison was sitting nervously at the entrance of the hospital room. After a long time, the doctor finally came out. She quickly asked, "Doctor, how is he...?"
Eugene glanced back at the room, subtly raised his eyebrows, cleared his throat, and feigned a troubled expression, "Things...do not look very promising."
Gosh! Stefan rarely shows interest in any woman, so he had no choice but to violate his medical ethics temporarily.
"Huh?"
Allison frowned, feeling a bit self-blaming. "How could this happen?"
But she also knew that she really exerted herself at the time. She was just too angry then. Her first kiss was taken away by a man she'd only met twice - surely everyone else would have reacted the same way.
Seeing her guilt, Eugene couldn't help comforting her: "Don't worry too much, let's keep him under observation in the hospital first. You go and sort out the paperwork."
Allison had no doubts and promptly nodded her head. She quickly handled the procedures, paid the bill, and prepared for long-term bedside care. However, the thought of possibly being the reason he might become childless made her worried about the future.
As she got everything necessary for daily use and brought it into the sick room, she saw Stefan resting on the hospital bed with his eyes closed and hesitated slightly.
This was the first time she really looked at him. Without his glasses, Stefan did not seem as refined and elegant, yet there was a touch of allure that wasn't there before.
Ariana was stunned by his words, unable to respond for a moment.
Lambert unbuckled her seatbelt and said with a deep tone, "Let's get out of the car, wife."
She rolled her eyes at him in annoyance, not believing that if she disagreed, Lambert would force her.
Ariana got out of the car and was surprised to find the villa empty. "Why is it so quiet?"
Lambert smirked, "There are people, it's just that you can’t see them."
Upon hearing it, she felt a shiver down her back. Her voice faltered, "Huh?"
Lambert realized that she misunderstood his words and didn't explain. Instead, he said, "I heard that... this courtyard... It has a history of over a hundred years. Throughout these years, it has been through..."
"Enough, enough, enough! Shut up!" she interrupted him.
Ariana was so frightened that she screamed a few times, feeling angry enough to want to turn around, get back into the car, and leave quickly.
Unexpectedly, just as she turned around, she was held back by Lambert.
"Where are you going? Hm?"
She responded irritatedly: "I don't want to stay in such a terrifying place!"
Although it looked quite beautiful, ever since he mentioned it, all sorts of strange things had emerged in her mind.
Ariana wouldn't say she was particularly faint-hearted, but being someone who had reincarnated once, she firmly believed in the existence of souls.
Upon hearing her fear, Lambert couldn't help but chuckle, "Don't worry, this house was built only half a year ago."
Only then did she realize, and said angrily: "So, you were making fun of me?"
