Ariana remembered the strange call she got from Allison earlier and asked with surprise, "What happened?"
He told her the gossip that Eugene had just informed him over the phone, and Ariana's previously down mood brightened significantly.
"Sounds like there's still hope for those two after all!"
Ariana shrugged, saying, "I'm going to take a bath now, don't disturb me!"
After a full day of having fun, Ariana felt she was achy all over, and most importantly, she was quite uncomfortable as she had only just broken some taboos the previous day.
When she entered the bathroom, she was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was an actual hot spring bath, so she got in.
To her surprise, she suddenly felt a presence close to her. Ariana tried to avoid it out of instinct, but she was caught by surprise and was pulled into an embrace.
"What…what are you doing?"
Ariana was almost made livid realizing it was Lambert.
Lambert's hand rested on her shoulder, lightly kneading, "Didn't you say you were tired? Let me give you a massage."
She initially wanted to reject the offer but did not expect Lambert to be so good at this. All of her fatigue started to vanish, so she didn't refuse.
After a while, Lambert's hand began to wander towards her waist.
It had to be said, to everyone's surprise, Lambert turned out to be quite good at catering to someone else's needs, his massage was just right, and she closed her eyes comfortably.
Suddenly, he pressed against her back and whispered, "Does it feel good?"
"Stay... a bit farther from me."
"Why? Am I not pressing the right spot?" Lambert said with a smirk and a tone full of hidden meaning.
Ariana was stumped by the question, speechless for a moment. Then she pushed him lightly, "Enough of soaking. I don't want to soak anymore."
But Lambert didn't let go of her. "But I do. You can accompany me for a while initially."
She looked at him dismissively and said, "If you want to soak, soak by yourself. You're not a child."
"But... Apart from wanting to soak in a bath, I also want..." Lambert bit her earlobe and said affectionately.
Ariana shuddered all over and gave him another stern look, both annoyed and shy.
"You... have no shame!"
Lambert said affectionately, "I just want my wife..."
...
The next day.
Ariana asked with a hint of ridicule, "Oh? Then why do you hold my man? Are you sleepwalking?"
"How dare you talk to me like this!" Stacey roared and suddenly pounced.
Ariana showed no panic and subtly sidestepped, causing the woman to fall.
With a "plop", a large splash of water was stirred up.
"Ah!" The woman struggled and screamed in the water, swallowing several mouthfuls of water, appearing as if she was about to drown.
"Miss, this is just a swimming pool and a particularly shallow one at that. If you stand it will only reach your waistline; Why are you yelling? It's disturbing others so early in the morning." Ariana rubbed her ears and said coldly.
Upon hearing her words, the woman regained her composure, standing up only to find the water reaching her waist.
The woman's previous screams seemed to have attracted some people; a man could be seen rushing towards them, his eyes revealing worry as he stared at the woman in the pool.
He was filled with concern, asking, "Stacey, what happened? Come out quickly."
Seeing her fiancé approach, she felt a burst of courage. All at once, tears welled up in her eyes and she moved towards the poolside, her expression akin to a pear tree braving a storm.
The man was swayed by her act. He grabbed a towel from the side, draped it around the woman, and asked concerningly, "Stacey, please don't cry. What actually happened? Tell me."
"It was her. That woman pushed me into the water. You don't know how scared I was and now my chest hurts so much. Am I going to die soon?" The woman said with a faltering breath, clutching her chest.
