Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 198

Ariana paused, looking surprised at Lambert.

"You'll live in the White family's house too?"

He curved his lips and said, "Would you not like that?"

She quickly replied, "No... I just think it's not quite right!"

After all, Lambert just left the Stone family. If he moved into the White family at this time, it would inevitably cause criticism!

However, if the two were to separate now, the outside world would certainly stir up various rumors.

Lambert knew that she was considering other people's views about him, and quirked his lips to say, "If I cared about those things, I wouldn't have left the Stone family in the first place, dealing with your problems is more important now, as for the rest, I have enough ability to prove it."

Listening to this, Ariana was very moved. In the past, she never dreamed that a rebellious and unfettered playboy would sacrifice so much for her.

The two temporarily moved into the White family's house while Lambert arranged matters for a new company. Ariana originally wanted to help but was gently refused.

Gilbert had not fully recovered, there were many matters to deal with in the White Group, and school had just started. With three areas to take care of, she was somewhat stretched thin.

However, the news of Lambert leaving the Stone family and moving into the White family was quickly publicized by various media. Some media began to suggest that the heirs were Arnold and Finley, flaunting their influence.

As long as Lambert stepped out of the door, he would be followed by a slew of reporters.

The media caught pictures of Lambert coming out of the White family's house a few times and directly asserted that Lambert looked distressed after being "kicked out" by the Stone family.

People outside wrote about Lambert in such a deteriorating light that even Georgia was slightly irritated. She kept urging them to move out quickly to avoid more public scorn.

However, Lambert insisted on waiting until Gilbert woke up to make a decision, which greatly moved Ariana.

Fortunately, Gilbert woke up in just a couple of days, even being well enough to go home and recuperate.

Upon hearing that Lambert and Ariana had already left Stone’s house, he couldn’t help but feel emotional, "I have always had great respect for Old Mr. Stone. I knew he was decisive and resolute in matters, however, I never thought he would go to such lengths to protect his grandson! It's good that you are staying in the White's residence, at least there is someone to watch over.”

Lambert said with a faint smile, "The most important thing is for my father-in-law to recover as soon as possible so that Ari can feel at ease. As for the rest, there's no need to worry about it."

Gilbert looked at Ariana, who seemed a bit worn out. He was aware of his daughter’s dutiful nature, "I know you both are struggling to deal with all the matters at hand. We will get through this period of busyness, there's no need to worry too much!"

She was slightly annoyed, “Dad! At this point, how can you still dwell on business affairs!”

“Cough, cough…”

Gilbert coughed a few times and said somewhat helplessly, "If you two have other matters to attend to, then go ahead. I don’t have the strength to get up now. Apart from resting, what else can I do? Don’t worry needlessly!"

"Yeah, don't worry. Your dad still has me," added Georgia in a hurry.

She had witnessed how busy Lambert and Ariana had been these last two days, so she promptly started ushering them out.

Seeing her father insisting on this, Ariana didn’t say anything further and left the house with Lambert.

Seeing Ariana by his side, remaining silent the whole time, Lambert tried to console her, "Don't worry. I can see my father-in-law is recovering quite well."

At his words, she looked over at the seemingly energetic Lambert who had only managed to rest for three hours amidst the busyness, "Do you want to have a little sleep?"

Ariana felt a twinge of unease. Seeing Lambert like this was heart-wrenching.

Lambert held her hand, chuckling, "Didn't we say we wanted to buy some things for my father-in-law?"

When they reached the shopping mall, Ariana bought some soft clothes that needed to be prepared for her ill father, Gilbert. She initially wanted to pay but was told the payment had already been made.

As she passed by a high-end men's suit customization shop, she couldn't help but stop in her tracks, looking at the burgundy tie displayed in the window.

Lambert raised an eyebrow, "Are you thinking of buying a tie for me?"

She hesitated momentarily, then coughed lightly, "Who said it's for you?"

He smirked, "Who else could it be for besides me?"

Now Gilbert was in rehab, so Ariana would definitely not buy it for him.

Ariana glanced at him, her red lips slightly pursed, hiding a smile. Just as she was about to enter the store, she suddenly heard a familiar voice behind her.

"Well, isn't this Mrs. Stone?"

Upon hearing the voice, both Ariana and Lambert turned to look. To their surprise, they found the source of the voice to be Vincent, whom they hadn't seen for quite some time.

She raised an eyebrow, "It’s you?"

After Lambert taught Vincent a lesson in the restaurant last time, he had been quiet, focusing on reviving the prestige once held by the Thomas Group.

Casting a scornful glance at the several packages that Lambert was carrying for Ariana, Vincent sneered, "I wonder if your husband can still afford these expensive things."

Everyone knew that after leaving the Stone family, without their protection, Lambert was penniless and powerless. He was no more than a down-and-out dog.

Upon hearing Vincent's audacious taunt towards Lambert, Ariana smirked, "Vincent, you should be more concerned about yourself! I heard that the Thomas Family isn't doing so well lately. Perhaps it's because of the previous incident, causing a huge loss?"
