Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 203

"Fine, you think you're all grown up, right? Now that you're a man, do you think your word is as good as a bond? Go ahead, you might as well never come back! Don't even bother visiting me. Even if I die, it will have nothing to do with you!" If the old man weren't lying on his sick bed, he'd probably pick something up and throw it at him.

Lambert began to leave, but when he got to the door, he still paused.

A glint appeared in the old man's eyes. "This rascal, he's just talking big, he's bound to regret it now."

"Grandfather, I won't be able to visit you anymore, take care of yourself." With these words, Lambert pushed the door open and left.

The old man was so angry that he nearly sat up from the bed. However, after Lambert really left, he stared at the closed door and sighed deeply.

"He's as stubborn as I was when I was young," he muttered.

After leaving the sick room, Lambert told his mother to take good care of the old man before leaving with Ariana.

"What did the old man tell you?" Ariana asked out of curiosity.

Lambert casually replied, "Nothing much, just that when he dies, it will have nothing to do with me."

Seeing Lambert's seriousness when he said this, Ariana couldn't help but giggle.

"Why are you laughing?" Lambert asked, intrigued.

Ariana explained, "I bet he told you to return to the Stone Group, and you got him angry again, right?"

She knew a thing or two about the old man's temper.

At this point, Ariana's phone suddenly began to ring. She saw that it was Griffin calling and hesitated, but still answered.

Unexpectedly, Griffin wanted to meet up with Ariana out of the blue.

Ariana suspected that Griffin might be being used by Finley, so she agreed and planned to persuade him again.

Unexpectedly, Griffin called her out to confess his feelings!

Ariana was doubtful of his sudden confession and decidedly rejected him, leaving straightforwardly.

...

After looking at the photos, Beverly curled her lips satisfactorily, "Good job! Keep tracking Ariana and try to capture more!"

She handed a packet of money to the journalist. Upon seeing the substantial cash inside, the journalist hastily accepted it, grinning from ear to ear. "Absolutely!" He exclaimed.

Beverly nodded faintly, "Please leave first and don't get noticed."

"Understood!"

Having taken the envelope, the journalist left nonchalantly.

Beverly subtly looked at the envelope in her hand, a gleam of cold light flashing in her eyes. She didn't believe Ariana could still stay smug once these photos were released!

Just as she collected the things and was about to stand up, she accidentally bumped into Lambert, a man in a black suit. He was sitting across her with a faint smile and a meaningful look.

"Lam...Lambert?"

Beverly's grip on her purse tightened nervously. She was so delighted previously that she didn't notice Lambert was nearby.

Lambert gracefully settled down and glanced at the seat she was just at, saying casually but determinedly, "Sit first."

Incredulous, the Old Mr. Stone on the hospital bed looked surprised. Lambert being a lavish spender without the Stone family, could still live so happily?

"Yes, the Sir was shopping with his wife. They bought a lot of things and kept swiping cards without any abnormalities. We didn't dare to get too close, so we couldn't see what card the Sir was using, but indeed, there didn't seem to be any freezing of funds. We checked with the staff on this point too," the man said humbly, with a slight bow.

"How could that be possible? I've blocked all his cards; how could he not be affected? Could there be any cards that I didn't stop?" The old man clung to the bed rail, straightened his body slightly, and said somewhat excitedly.

"All the cards under the company account have been stopped, even the personal card that the madam had arranged for the Sir has been stopped," the man respectfully replied, emotionless.

The old man lay back on the soft pillow in disbelief, his murky eyes filled with incredulity, but they turned sharp again.

"Find out for me, meticulously check whatever is under his name that I don't know about," his icy voice filled with the usual domineering tone.

This old man always assumed everything was under his control, he was like an ancient tyrant, if anyone slipped out of his grasp, he would feel fear and the desire to regain control over that person.

"Yes, sir," the man bowed slightly and left the room.

The somewhat thin old man, his face stern, his sharp eyes staring at the white ceiling, the faint smell of disinfectant irritated him, making him frown slightly.

It didn't take long for all the information the old man wanted to know to be uncovered.

"Sir, Sir Lambert is using a card that he issued himself, the money comes from a club that has a good income, with regular income deposited into it. He is a secret shareholder," the man humbly said.

"This little guy, I didn't expect him to pull off such a trick. He thinks he can stand on his own with a small club," the old man signaled his butler to adjust his bed and said coldly.

"Have you found out where he got the money to set up the club?" The old man asked in a cold voice, his hands folded on his lap, his face expressionless.

"Not yet, Sir's funds flow a lot on a day-to-day basis, it's hard to track down right now," the man's deep voice showed no fluctuation as he spoke coldly.
