Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 258

After that, Ariana didn't follow up on the matter, instead entrusted it to her parents to deal with fully.

Mr. and Mrs. White, of course, were very willing.

However, despite how things turned out, it depended on the test results but Gilbert and Georgia had already accepted in their hearts that this Kiara was the Kiara who had disappeared for many years. After all, there couldn't be such a coincidence in the world. A perfect match as an orphan, of the same age as Kiara, and most importantly, very similar in appearance.

It could be considered a miracle if there really was such a coincidence.

So Mr. and Mrs. White had already accepted that Kiara was their Kiara. Even if the test results were negative, they still wanted to adopt Kiara.

Perhaps... this could be the reincarnated Kiara?

The test results would take at least two days to come out. Over these two days, Mr. and Mrs. White would visit Kiara almost daily, constantly expressing concern, just like parents. This made Kiara's heart increasingly tender but also scared of what to do if the results showed that none of this was true.

But what Kiara didn't know was that the most anxious person at that moment was not her, but Jane, who always had a foreboding feeling.

By coincidence, it was another day when Mr. and Mrs. White were not around. After being restless for a while, Jane finally asked the maid who came to deliver lunch, asking, "Are Uncle and Auntie often not at home lately?"

The maid respectfully answered, "Yes."

Jane's anxiety deepened a bit, her hand involuntarily tightening as she asked, "Why?"

The maid shook her head, her voice uneasy as she replied, "I'm sorry, Miss, I don't know about these matters... But the Sir and Madam do seem to be quite busy recently."

Hearing this, Jane couldn't help but scoff in her heart.

Busy?

It was more like they were hardly ever at home anymore!

It shouldn't be like this! Based on her understanding of Uncle, no matter how busy his company was, he would never be so neglectful given the severity of her injuries. Even if the company was particularly busy, wouldn’t her Aunt be around? Aside from occasionally socializing with other ladies, she didn’t have a job to attend to.

Could it be...

Ariana had been speaking ill of her behind her back?

The thought made Jane's face darken instantly. It should've occurred to her sooner. Ariana seemed so magnanimous when she forgave her last time, maybe she was playing tricks on her secretly. She had thought, how could Ariana let her return to the White family so easily? There must be a conspiracy.

Feelings of resentment were stirred up as she just realized all this. She had underestimated her all along.

Seeing the changing expressions on Jane's face, the maid felt a slight fear. After a long pause, she mustered up the courage to say, "If there is nothing else, Miss, I will take my leave."

"Fine," Jane said coldly.

The maid sighed in relief and hurried out of Jane’s bedroom.

Jane watched the maid’s fleeing figure with a cold smile playing on her lips. She was convinced Ariana must have sent this maid to spy on her...

Oh well! She had planned to take things slowly but since Ariana has proven so ruthless, she won't hold back anymore.

While pondering over this, a hint of chilling sharpness flashed in Jane’s eyes.

...

Hearing this, Jane's face immediately changed. She slightly blinked her eyes, then said grievously, "No...my leg is okay..."

Georgia immediately let out a sigh of relief. It was good that her leg was not injured.

Gilbert also exhaled deeply. Yet if her leg was fine, why was she so anxious to find them?

Jane noticed the couple’s confusion and said quickly, "My leg is okay... I was just scared. You were not at home these past few days. I was alone... I was really scared... that you'd abandon me.”

Georgia was taken aback, then let out an involuntary chuckle, sighing, "How is that possible?"

This child was constantly thinking about all kinds of absurdities. How could she possibly not want her? After all, she was the only daughter left by her close friend.

Wait, there's something wrong!

And there was Kiara...

With the thought of that sensible and cute child, Georgia's eyes softened involuntarily for an instant.

Jane was very sharp and noticed that Georgia's attitude was not directed at her. How obvious! She must be thinking of Ariana. In a flash, a hint of distortion passed through Jane's eyes. She harbored some resentment towards the woman in front of her who claimed to treat her like her own daughter! Yet, in the end, the most important person in her heart was still her biological daughter! What did she count as?

This was sheer hypocrisy!

If she had known this, she would have listened to Vincent and gotten rid of Ariana earlier. Then, she would be the only heir of the White family now.

She wouldn’t have possibly fallen into such a state.
