Jane had a grim expression when she was brought to the police station. Upon seeing an upset-looking Ariana, Jane could not suppress a surge of resentment.
"Jane, how could you do this?"
Ariana looked at her with reddened eyes, imbuing a bitter disappointment in her voice.
The people in the police station understood what kind of situation these two sisters were in. They watch Jane with disdain.
The White family had adopted her out of kindness but ended up with an ungrateful wretch.
But Jane was not stupid. Although she could see that Ariana was merely acting, facing the disdainful comments from everyone around her, she dared not retaliate.
Grinding her teeth, she bravely said, "Sister, what are you talking about? Why are you even here? What is going on? Why would they say it was me who got people to stage this attack on you?"
She played innocent quite convincingly, even more compelling than the actual victim.
"I also didn't expect them to accuse you," Ariana said, "but..."
She hesitated, glancing at the police, "The problem is, the money transfer records to their accounts show your name."
Jane defended herself, "Yes, I did transfer them some money, but I was forced to! You know how they've been bullying me at school."
Upon hearing these words, the group of girls couldn't stand still, "You ungrateful wretch, you said you were displeased with your sister, so you paid us to teach her a lesson. But now you're denying it?"
"Ridiculous! I know you were always jealous of my sister for being together with Big Brother. That's exactly why you took the opportunity to stage this!"
"Big Brother" referred to by Jane was Vincent.
The girls choked up upon hearing this, staying silent for a while.
Seeing that many people were present, Vincent didn’t hug her for long and released Ariana.
Jane's vision was filled with the intimate embrace of Ariana and Vincent. The more she thought about it the more she got angry. But, she dared not to show it in front of everyone.
Now directing his gaze towards Jane, Vincent frowned, asking: "Did you do this?"
When she met Vincent’s icy glare, she felt somewhat guilty.
"I...I didn't! I really didn't! Those people set me up!"
Seizing the opportunity, Ariana pretended to help her, "I can't believe Jane would do something like this either, but they all confessed that it was her."
As she spoke, she lowered her head, pretending to be upset.
