Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 474

It was clear that their daughter's situation had dealt a heavy blow to Allison.

Ariana still remembered how Allison had insisted during her pregnancy with Shawn that once the baby was born, she would let the Morris family take care of the child while she returned to school. Yet, after giving birth, Allison never went back.

She simply couldn’t bear the guilt of abandoning her tiny son to others.

Now, with a daughter born under such circumstances, the emotional toll was even greater.

Allison had likely been bottling up her emotions for days. The moment she confirmed it was Ariana standing before her, she broke down in tears. Her sobs were soft, almost kitten-like, but the pain in them was raw enough to make anyone’s heart ache just hearing it. Ariana stayed silent, letting her cry it out for a while before gently saying, "Alright, that’s enough. No more tears."

Allison sniffled quietly.

Ariana continued, "I already know about Beibei’s situation. You should’ve told me sooner. Even if I couldn’t do much, I could’ve helped in small ways. But don’t worry—Lambert told me he and Fengmian have already contacted doctors abroad. Beibei’s condition will stabilize soon."

A flicker of hope flashed in Allison’s eyes as she stared at Ariana. "Really?"

Ariana chuckled. "Have I ever lied to you?"

Only then did Allison manage a faint, fragile smile.

Seeing her friend’s expression soften, Ariana couldn’t help but smile too. She reached out and ruffled Allison’s hair. "Your mom said you’re still running a fever. Your only job now is to rest. Once you’re better, we’ll go see Beibei together."

Beibei was the nickname Allison and Stefan had given their daughter, just as Shawn had one for his first full month.

Their little girl was, without a doubt, utterly adorable.

Ariana had seen her a few times, and each time, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy.

I still think daughters are more adorable.

But she already had sons—she couldn’t possibly favor girls over boys like Lambert did. Otherwise, her three poor little ones would only feel even more pitiful.

Seeing Allison like this, Ariana couldn’t help but think that whether it was a boy or a girl, as long as they were healthy, it was a blessing. Just as she was about to strike up another conversation with Allison to distract her, a servant’s voice suddenly came from outside the door.

"Miss," the servant said, "the guard reports there’s a woman asking for you, claiming to know you. Should we let her in?"

Allison frowned slightly. "What’s her name?"

The servant replied, "She says her name is Lexi."

The moment the name was spoken, before Allison could react, Ariana’s expression darkened instantly. She answered coldly toward the door, "Don’t let her in. Allison doesn’t know her."

Allison knew Ariana was speaking up for her. Seeing the stormy look on her friend’s face, warmth flickered in her chest.

"It’s fine," she said. "I’d like to see what she wants." Then, raising her voice toward the door, she added, "Let her in."

The servant hesitated, unsure whose orders to follow.

Logically, she should obey her mistress, but she also knew how close Miss White was to Miss Jay. The dilemma left her momentarily torn.

Hearing Allison’s decision, Ariana pressed her lips together and looked down at her friend, who lay half-reclined on the bed.
