"I’m going because Wang Hu invited me, not because of Bai Fanglan, but if you’re not going, then I’m not going either. Let’s finish up and go home." Gu Junming served her some food. Sun Chan had stir-fried cabbage and tomatoes, with two chili peppers added, giving it a sour and spicy taste. She also made a potato sauce, which went well with rice.
The ingredients were simple, but Gu Junming thought it tasted great, and he could eat another bowl of rice compared to being at home.
Sun Chan laughed, "Then I’ll go. After all, it’s her wedding that she’s worried about. What should we give as a wedding gift?"
"Just give what you feel like. You’re the one managing the money." He laughed.
Since Gu Junming came back, he had been giving her his salary to manage, and there was quite a bit of money in the savings book. Gu Junming rarely spent money, except for sending money home, buying cigarettes and alcohol for Gu Dongfang, he basically saved up everything. There was now almost two thousand yuan. It’s definitely a considerable amount, but Sun Chan didn’t plan to spend it since she was earning enough from her business now.
Sun Chan chuckled, "If we were just looking at Bai Fanglan, we’d give ten or eight yuan and be done with it, but your relationship with Wang Hu is pretty good, so let’s give twenty."
"Alright, as you wish, madam." He smiled and gave a mock military salute.
Sun Chan laughed and tapped Gu Junming on the shoulder, then started cleaning up the dishes.
The two of them changed clothes and went out. Sun Chan was wearing a newly bought cashmere coat, pale pink, which matched her fair, jade-like face. Gu Junming wore a military overcoat, looking heroic and charming, very fitting.
The two chatted and laughed as they headed to the wedding venue. On the way, a small car brushed past them. Gu Junming quickly realized how close they were and hurriedly pulled her aside, the sharp sound of the car engine screeching by, as it stopped right next to Gu Junming’s side.
"Are you okay?" Sun Chan nervously tugged at Gu Junming, looking him up and down.
Gu Junming waved his hand, "I’m fine." His eyes glanced at the small car, thinking it’s quite unruly for such a narrow road to have cars passing.
But he wasn’t planning on making a fuss, yet the person in the car was angry, opened the door, and came down.
It was a girl in her twenties, with long hair, wearing a long white coat, tall and slender, her eyes disdainful, looking at them with an arrogant face.
"Have you no eyes? How do you walk?"
Sun Chan frowned, taking a glance at the girl in front of her. She was quite pretty, how could she be so impolite?
Gu Junming willingly didn’t want to argue with the girl, turned around intending to leave.
The girl quickly came over and grabbed the two, "Hey, I’m talking to you! Are you just going to walk away like that?"
Sun Chan felt angry, forcefully pushing her hand away, "Don’t be unreasonable, this is relentless!"
"You dare hit me? Do you know who I am?"
Sun Chan sneered, "No matter who you are, you have to be reasonable in your actions. Driving your car in such a tight spot, almost hitting people, without apologizing, still holding us up relentlessly? Are you some high official’s offspring trying to bully us?"
The girl had never been treated like this since childhood. Her eyes widened, shouting loudly, "What did you say? I’m warning you, apologize quickly, or I won’t be polite!"
"I did nothing wrong, why apologize? I won’t be afraid of you." Sun Chan stared directly at her.
