After Bianca sent James the link and he watched it, she suggested that they should come to the hospital. She was determined to meet the true head of the Smith family before anyone else arrived.

But as soon as they entered the room, they saw Emily standing by the bed.

Emily had just finished giving Daniel an injection and accompanying the ambulance to the hospital. Now that Daniel was out of danger and transferred to the VIP suite, she encountered these two idiots.

Emily was exhausted and irritated, so her tone was naturally harsh.

“Emily, how can you be so rude and say such things!”

Bianca hadn’t even said anything, just showed a pitiful expression, and James immediately jumped in to scold Emily.

They hadn’t connected Emily with the girl in the video who saved Daniel. On one hand, they didn’t believe she had such medical skills. On the other hand, Emily had changed into clothes that York had prepared at some point.

“You’re simply unreasonable and hopeless! If you keep this up, it’s clear you’re not fit to marry me!”

James was still living in his own world. He still believed Emily couldn’t possibly give up on him, so he dared to criticize her so arrogantly.

Emily was almost amused by his self–importance.

“Who cares about marrying you? Have you forgotten that we’ve already broken off the engagement?”

She reminded him seriously.

James frowned and then sneered, “You’re just fooling yourself. Or maybe…”

His gaze fell on Daniel lying in bed. Daniel was someone he could only look up to. Thinking that Emily might be trying to curry favor with Daniel, his face turned icy.

His words became particularly sinister. “Are you trying to ingratiate yourself with Daniel to gain his approval, so you’re acting so recklessly?

Bianca was still puzzled. How could Emily suddenly be here? For a moment, she couldn’t help but wonder if Emily was the girl in the video. James’s words brought her back to reality.

She quickly said, “Emily, it’s one thing to mess around usually, but there’s a line. Mr. Smith isn’t someone you can mess with. If you anger

James mocked, “Daniel isn’t like Bianca and me, who tolerate you for your own good. If you anger Daniel, you’ll disappear!”

He wanted to instill fear in Emily so she would restrain herself.

Ive already left the Johnson family. I have nothing to do with Bianca or you, my ex–fiancé. Save your fake kindness and stop meddling in my affairs.”

Emily was clearly impatient.

“Emily, your words really hurt us. Our family found you in the trash and took you in. How could we truly abandon you? Stop causing trouble and apologize to James. Even he can’t tolerate your antics forever.”

Bianca’s eyes filled with tears, and she started to sway as if she might faint.

“Bianca, don’t hurt yourself over someone who isn’t worth it.” James quickly supported Bianca and comforted her.

Then he turned to Emily, his tone cold, “If you want to self–destruct, don’t drag Bianca down with you!”

“Shut up!” Emily snapped, noticing the person in bed frown. Such a peaceful face shouldn’t be disturbed. “If you want to argue, do it outside. Don’t disturb the patient, or I won’t be polite.”

Her eyes were sharp with warning.

“Emily, I think you should be the one to leave. You’re just angry because I exposed your intentions, and now you want to kick us out. Do you even realize your status? You have no right to give orders here!”

James felt a strange emotion from Emily’s piercing gaze, but suppressed it and retorted.

“How annoying!”

At that moment, a clear, magnetic voice sounded.

Everyone turned to the owner of the voice.

“Daniel, thank goodness you’re awake!”

James immediately dropped his cold demeanor and smiled, trying to ingratiate himself,

Bianca knew Daniel was stunning, but when he opened his eyes, he was even more breathtaking, making her heart race. She tried to suppress her feelings and smiled sweetly at him, “Mr. Smith, I’m so glad you’re awake, James and I saw the news and were very worried, so we came to see you right away.”

Daniel looked at Bianca and frowned. Under her expectant gaze, he slowly spoke, “Who are you?”

Emily couldn’t help but laugh. She had considered Daniel’s attitude. Given that Bianca was James’s favorite and Daniel’s own demeanor, he should treat her kindly. But she never expected his first words to be like this.

Bianca’s smile froze, and Emily’s laughter made her tremble with shame.
