Emily’s face stayed calm as she looked up, appearing confident and composed.

Daniel, afraid she might hit her head on the edge, instinctively reached out to catch her, pulling her into his arms.

Emily stood up.

Daniel reached out with his long arm, grabbed a large towel, and tossed it to her.

“Wrap yourself in this and go to the next room. I’ll have York bring you some clothes.”

Daniel’s voice was low and hoarse.

“Okay!” Emily didn’t have time to think.

She quickly wrapped the towel around herself and left.

“York, prepare a room next door for the doctor and get her some clothes,” Daniel called out as Emily opened the door.

“Yes, sir!”

York didn’t understand the sudden request but followed orders.

Charles, hearing the commotion, rushed towards the bathroom.

He almost collided with Emily, who was wrapped in a towel.

Seeing her state, Charles’s face darkened, and he pointed at Emily, questioning her silently.

Even without hearing his voice, Emily could guess what he was thinking.

He probably thought she had taken advantage of Daniel.

Emily didn’t bother explaining, letting Charles worry.

“Charles, the doctor just slipped and fell into the tub. She’s exhausted from treating me. Don’t disturb her,” Daniel said calmly but firmly.

Charles paused, missing the chance to stop Emily.

With her gone, Charles quickly checked on Daniel.
