Bianca, are you okay? Did Emily do anything to you again?”

Bianca stumbled after being shoved by Emily.

James appeared out of nowhere, catching her just in time and asking with concern.

Bianca saw it was him, her eyes slightly red, but she bit her lip, trying to appear strong. “No, my sister didn’t mean to push me. She must have had something urgent!”

James sneered, “She doesn’t know anyone here. She just sweet–talked my uncle into being a judge. What urgent matter could she possibly have? Don’t worry, once the competition is over, I’ll make sure she goes back and stops causing trouble.”

“What?” Bianca was startled but quickly hid her thoughts. “That would be great. I was worried Emily would keep causing problems.”

Half an hour later, Emily returned.

Her serious expression had softened, and she seemed relaxed.

But if you looked closely, you could see a deep intensity in her eyes.

The next round of the competition began.

It was a practical test where participants had to diagnose and treat patients, with judges scoring their performance.

The competition started.

Emily was responsible for scoring Ophelia’s group.

Ophelia didn’t seem like a novice; she was more like an experienced doctor, quick and accurate in diagnosing patients.

Emily, adhering to principles of fairness and justice, gave Ophelia the score she deserved, even though she had doubts about her.

Just then, a commotion broke out nearby.

Initially, Emily didn’t pay attention.

But she heard a familiar name, “Your name is Wren, right? A newbie like you isn’t qualified to treat my friend. I demand a replacement!”

Hearing Wren’s name and that familiar voice, Emily, having finished her task, stood up and walked over,

“Mr. Johnson, since you agreed to participate in this treatment, please cooperate. Besides, how do you know I can’t treat your friend? Don’t judge a book by its cover!”

Wren spoke calmly, trying to use a gentle tone.

She clearly knew Chase.

Chase’s face tightened, staring directly at Wien. “You know me? Are you one of my fans who followed me here? That makes it even less likely I’ll let you treat my friend. Someone, I want a replacement!”

Emily remembered that Wren was a fan of Chase.

Although it was a coincidence, she revealed Chase’s identity. A big star like Chase would naturally think along those lines.

“Even if I were your fan, that doesn’t mean I’m incompetent in my field. And for the record, I’m not your fan anymore!”

Wren knew Chase from the screen, but seeing him in person, his unreasonable and self–important attitude disgusted her.

This made Chase even angrier.

He called for the staff, “Get me a replacement. I came here for a renowned doctor. I don’t trust this person’s skills. What if she messes up my friend’s treatment?”

Chase lowered his voice to avoid being recognized, signaling the nearby staff.

Emily couldn’t stand it anymore and stepped forward. “This is a competition. You should have known who would be treating your friend before you came. Why are you causing a scene now?”

Chase saw Emily and frowned. “Why are you here? Are you defending her? Are you two in cahoots?”

His gaze dropped to Emily’s judge badge. “You, a judge? Give me a break. Doesn’t the Smith Group host this event? How did they end up with judges like you? This is just a publicity stunt. I was hoping to find a skilled doctor for Aurora, but it seems like a scam!”

Chase was livid.

He had come for a top–notch doctor.

But given his status, he couldn’t meet the doctor directly, so he thought this competition was his chance.

He never expected Emily to be a judge, making him suspect he was being deceived.

Seeing Aurora weakly leaning against him, he felt sorry for her and got even angrier.

I’m outta here. You guys are too much. Don’t blame me for exposing your scam later.”

Emily couldn’t believe how foolish Chase was. As a public figure, even if today’s incident weren’t recorded, people would remember and spread it online, ruining his reputation.

Moreover, Chase knew this event was hosted by the Smith Group. Was he not afraid of offending them?

Or did he think he could act recklessly because Bianca was close to James?

“Chase, your friend needs immediate acupuncture. Her condition is deteriorating,” Wren noticed Aurora’s state and warned.

She reached out to help Aurora sit down.

Chase thought she was exaggerating. “Get away. I said I don’t trust you. Either bring a skilled doctor to treat my friend, or don’t blame me for speaking out.”

He warned the staff, refusing to listen to anyone.

The staff, looking worried, quickly went to find someone.

The commotion drew the attention of Bianca and James.

Bianca’s eyes flashed.

She was struggling with the diagnosis of her current patient.

Hearing familiar voices, she quickly said, “James, I think I hear Chase. It sounds like there’s trouble over there.”

She looked anxious, craning her neck to see what was happening.

Just then, a staff member came to report the situation to James.

James, worried that Emily might be in trouble because of Bianca, heard about the commotion and the comments made. His face darkened,

and he hurried out with the staff.

Bianca quickly followed.

Seeing Chase in the middle of the crowd, Bianca couldn’t help but call out, “Chase!”

James also recognized Chase, frowning in displeasure.
