The next morning, Ella was awakened by the soft kisses that were being peppered on her neck.

She rubbed her eyes, and opened them slowly.

Adrian placed a soft kiss on her neck, trailing his lips to his chin before he tilted his head slightly.

As their gazes met, Ella beamed, "Good morning!"

Adrian leaned in, placing a lingering kiss on both her eyes.

As her eyelashes fluttered, she heard him whisper, "A very good morning."

Ella’s eyes twinkled.

Last night, after they made it out of the ball, Ella was hugged and kissed by Adrian in the backseat of the car.

After a while, she laid her head on his lap. But unknowingly, she dozed off. Ella did not even realize when they returned to the mansion and how she got into the bed.

It was already past midnight when Adrian stirred her awake and personally fed her a bowl of soup. Ella had it in her half-asleep state before dozing off completely again.

The past few days completely exhausted her. Not to mention their nightly activities... ahem... the ball itself was stressful to Ella.

So, the moment she let her guard down, she passed out in eternal slumber.

By the time they parted, both of them were panting softly.

Looking at the man on top of her, Ella felt like she was looking at a big dog. One that looked so harmful but in truth, he was just an adorable baby.

Adrian’s gaze seemed lost for a moment as he buried his face in her neck, "Elle..."

Ella’s heart skipped a beat at the way he called her.

Ella could feel his warm breath falling on the nape of her neck, unsteadier than before.

Tension cackled in her room and Ella felt her body heating up gradually.

The loud ringing of the phone broke their trance.

She wanted to reach out but with the man crushing her under his body weight, she could barely sway her limbs.

With both his hands firmly pinning her to the bed, Adrian looked up, his eyes dark.

Ella gulped.
