The two people seemed to be on the verge of hitting each other to death.

As she panted from the overexerting argument, Ella shivered at his touch.

The warmth of his hug for some reason had a very comforting effect.

He released her and turned her around.

Before Ella could recover her senses, the man tilted her chin with two of his fingers and pressed his lips on hers.

It was a light graze, a fleeting touch of his lips, not a passionate kiss.

The touch disappeared just as fast as it had come, as if he was marking her.

Just as he retreated, Ella suddenly said, ’’One more thing, please take care of Riri in my absence. I would have taken him to university with me but they don’t allow pets in the dorms!’’ she patted the puppy who was peeking at her from the open door, ’’Don’t worry. Mommy will come to see you often.’’

She then turned to Adrian, ’’I will also visit the Eve Mansion constantly to check the progress of the library. And baby, when you miss me, make sure to text me... Don’t keep it all bottled up okay...’’ she smiled brightly.
