Chapter 64: Big devil is facetiming me

She couldn’t remain under his control, in his surveillance forever.

And that, he should realize too.

So, all along, it had been her plan to slowly put some distance between them and to make him accept the fact that she had a life of her own.

And she had her own things to do. So, he should respect her wishes rather than keeping her trapped by his side.

But Adrian surprised her.

’I did not expect him to agree to most of the things I asked for.’

He gave her a phone and laptop, despite the fact that she had leaked his confidential documents in the past.

He let her move to the dorms.

And now that she was asking for space, he agreed to that too.

She did negotiate for it but did a few cheek kisses and sweet words really manage to buy Adrian King over?

If he wanted to keep her trapped, he had the ultimate control over her.

He was powerful and in front of him, she held no real power even now.

Yet, Adrian seemed to be different from before.

He was still as cold, moody and ruthless as he was in her previous life but... there was something different.

Or has he always been like this? And only she never realized it?

Lost in her thoughts, Ella entered the campus.

But on her way to the dorms, she felt some weird gazes falling upon her.

These kids... What were they up to now?

Ella sighed.

The parents were spending millions to have these monkeys study in such a prestigious university... And the bunch of them were always ogling at others and looking for ’tea’?

’I am not the right person to think this way though!’

That night, Ella slept in peace, unaware of the chaos stirring up in the Imperial University.

The next morning, she got up at 5 am and went for a run as usual.

As the campus was mostly empty early in the morning, Ella completed her run in peace.

She had just returned to her room and stripped off the sweaty clothes when her phone rang.

Ella peeked at her phone.

Seeing that it was a call from the big devil, she instinctively reached out to answer the call.

But suddenly, she froze.

Adrian was facetiming her.

Ella looked at herself in the mirror.

She was half-naked, her bulging tummy made her look like she was some 4-5 months pregnant and her entire body was covered in sweat. Her skin looked like a monkey’s butt, a vibrant shade of red.

Even though she was not that much of an I-only-care-for-my-graceful appearance person in this life, she was still very much of a woman.

There was no way she was going to show herself to Adrian like this.

But just as Ella rushed over to look for some decent clothes, the call got disconnected.

At this moment, there were sounds of urgent knocks on the door.

Ella halted on her way to the bed.
