Ella was shocked.

Ella couldn’t open her eyes, but the familiar pain in her limbs told her the truth, she was back in that hellhole. The place where she’d been imprisoned. Where she’d been shot.

She stayed here for more than 2 months yet Adrian had never found this place.

Then, what was he doing here?

Ella’s heart trembled.

’’She cannot die,’’ Adrian’s voice burst with sheer adamance.

The kidnappers looked at each other, their faces solemn.

The girl lying in the corner of the room was curled up in a ball and her face was as pale as a paper.

Her body trembled endlessly and she was covered in cold sweat from head to toe.

"Is this bitch pretending?" One of the men of the Black Wolf Gang spoke up, ’’Since Boss had personally asked us to deal with the redhead, let’s do that first. As for this bitch, two of you can stay here and keep your eyes on her.’’

’’But the redhead was struck unconscious by us. She got all noisy and fussy when this fatty acted up!"

’’Haha! We can just wake her up for the fun then.’’

Two men stayed in the room while the others left.

’’Hey, look...’’ One of the men called out the other when Ella slumped on the floor completely.

Ella looked at them, her eyes confused and bloodshot.

"What... What are you doing? Ahhhh... Leave me!" Ruby’s soft voice was followed by a heart-wrenching scream.

Ella’s body moved on its instinct.

She stood up to leave but before she could take a single step, she was captured by both the men.

An overwhelming scent of alcohol and sweat assaulted her nose, bewildering her consciousness.

"Ha! So you were pretending after all!"

Ella’s head lolled forward.

The other man scoffed when she stopped struggling, ’’Once that bitch is dealt with, it will be your turn. Till then, better be obedient and stay put—AHHHHHHHH!"

An ear splitting scream reverberated across the courtyard. The birds resting in the trees flew away.

In the dim light of the room, one could see a man rolling on the floor with his right hand completely gone limp.

The other man immediately turned to tackle Ella but just as he had swung his fist, his fist was grabbed by tiny chubby fingers.

The girl looked at him with bloody eyes and in the next moment—

’Crack’

"AHHH!"

’’Capture her!"

"Take this bitch down. Quick!"

More men rushed inside the room.

Ella stood there with her head lowered and her eyes upturned as she looked at them emotionlessly.

Just as one of those men was about to reach Ella, the sound of a gunshot reverberated inside the courtyard.

And a cold body dropped at Ella’s feet with a ’thump’

"You... Who are you people?"
