“Darling, I barely even know him!” She threw herself into his arms, her voice brimming with frustration and wounded innocence. “We only spoke two sentences, that’s it!”

But right beside her ear, Harrison let out a cold, bitter laugh—there was a hint of teeth-gritting in his tone. “Oh? So you remember exactly how many words you exchanged with him? Sounds like he made quite the impression.”
