Chapter 343
Once Andrew had gone through most of the documents, Emily said again, “Mr. Bennett, what do you think?”
It sounded like a question, but she knew full well that Andrew didn’t really have another option.
As she expected, Andrew agreed, but he had a condition. “I can handle Sean for you, and I can even make sure your team gets full support, but you’ll have to let Lydia join your team.”
Emily hadn’t seen that coming at all.
She thought, ‘Lydia barely knows how the company works. And everyone knows we don’t get along. Andrew is clearly trying to make things difficult for me.’
If Emily was aiming to hold her ground in the Bennett Group, this project was her best shot, which meant there was no way she could agree to Andrew’s condition.
However, that was never what she wanted in the first place, so she had no real reason to refuse.
Knowing how suspicious Andrew could be, Emily didn’t agree right away. Instead, she pretended to be annoyed, brushing him off a few times before finally giving a reluctant nod.
With Andrew stepping in, the approval process with Sean went through quickly. He had been expecting Emily to beg him for help, so now he was absolutely pissed. It felt like he had just smacked himself in the face with all that tough talk.
Sean wasn’t gonna let that slide, and he switched to shady moves. He and his men lurked around for days until they finally caught Emily working late alone.
Emily entered the underground garage. Just as she was about to get into her car, Sean suddenly appeared, leading a group of
men.
those guys.
The tables turned fast. Sean, who was just acting all high and mighty, turned pale in an instant. He tried to keep it together. “Who are you? I’m with the Bennett Group, and my dad is the vice president. This is none of your business.”
Emily sneered at Sean’s bluffing without bothering to argue. After hours of grinding work that she barely understood, her

patience was gone.
Without hesitation, she ordered the bodyguards, “Beat him up, but don’t kill him” She knew only fear could make Sean think twice before crossing her again.
