Chapter 358

Vincent snapped out of it, frowned, and quickly stepped forward to pull Lucas back. “Lucas, let me handle this. You should go and find somewhere to rest for now.”

He suddenly remembered that Lucas had been kicked out of the Bennett family and realized that he likely had nowhere to go. Seeing that Lucas’s state was clearly affected by what Emily had just said, he instructed the bodyguards to take him away.

Even though Andrew was truly furious this time, Lucas was still his own brother. There was no way he would ever push him

to a dead end.

So Vincent arranged for Lucas to temporarily stay at one of his own properties. Even if Andrew found out, he wouldn’t say anything about it.

Once Lucas was taken care of, Vincent turned back to Jeremy, who was still standing there with his usual gentlemanly smile, quietly waiting for him to finish.

Because of what had happened with Lydia not too long ago, Vincent didn’t have the slightest bit of goodwill toward Jeremy. In fact, he couldn’t shake the feeling that Jeremy was always scheming, which made him hard to like.

But when it came to what Emily had actually gone through at St. Gabriel Reform Academy, his curiosity and doubts were no

less than Lucas’s.

He invited Jeremy into a nearby café and asked, “Mr. Windrose, you said you know something about St. Gabriel Reform Academy. What exactly do you mean by that?”

Jeremy didn’t answer him directly, still wearing that gentlemanly smile. I know a lot of things, but probably not the kind of thing you’re looking for, Mr. Shaw.”

His words had an obvious subtext, and Vincent could sense it, but he couldn’t quite pin down what Jeremy really meant.

After thinking for a moment, Vincent tried a different approach. “Mr. Windrose, do you know what those students actually go through in St. Gabriel Reform Academy?”

He’d never told anyone, but Emily’s question-Do you even know how I spent those two years?-stabbed at his heart like a needle.

Vincent, the heir of the Shaw family, had been raised with care, could always pick up on things quickly, especially with the way Jeremy was talking now.

But no matter how sharp he was, he still couldn’t imagine what kind of darkness was really hiding in St. Gabriel Reform Academy.

So after thinking for a second, he said, “As long as you can get me into St. Gabriel Reform Academy, we can talk about what

you want.”

In his eyes, “sincerity” was just another word for profit. With his wealth and status, as long as Jeremy didn’t go overboard, Vincent could afford whatever he asked for.

Jeremy could tell Vincent had gotten the wrong idea, but he didn’t bother to set him straight. Instead, he just grinned, nodding with a hint of mischief in his eyes.

‘A wonderful place like St. Gabriel Reform Academy-Vincent will surely be grateful to me after visiting it,’ Jeremy thought.
