As she placed a necklace on the model, Renee chuckled and reassured him, "Don't worry, these are my friend's collections. I am borrowing them for the time being."
“I know Freddy well, and he's not that rich." Jonah's tone was still very cautious and wary.
“It's not Freddy, it's another friend of mine."
Jonah stared at her, feeling numb.
Why couldn't he have such a wealthy friend?
“Should we arrange for more security?" It suddenly occurred to Jonah that having such priceless jewels in one place could make them vulnerable to robbery.
"Security has already been arranged outside the venue,"Renee informed him.
There were enough cameras inside the venue, and they covered every angle.
Renee had spent a huge amount of money on these jewels, so it was only natural for her to want to protect them.
Despite not being new, these jewels were timeless works of art from different time periods and private collections, with limited availability and more alluring than the newest designs from popular brands.
At that moment, Jonah realized that Vivian’s unexpected decision to break the contract was actually a fortunate turn of events; if not for her actions, they would have missed out on discovering such valuable collectable.
Vivian’s designs paled in comparison to these!
“It's time for the pianist to get ready," Renee reminded Jonah.
The final piece of music for this show was a piano solo, and the pianist's styling had been assigned to Renee.
The pianist, a handsome man under thirty, suddenly stood up, but he didn't make any attempt to go and change his clothes.
“Sorry, I agreed to cooperate with your company because I am Vivian’s friend. Since you're not using Vivian’s jewelry, I will also breach the contract."
Alarmed, Jonah started persuading the pianist, but all his words fell on deaf ears.
“Since Renee managed to find a replacement for Vivian’s jewelry, I'm sure she will also be able to solve this issue too." There was a hint of malice in the pianist's smile.
Renee’s jewelry had been delivered hours ago, but the pianist waited until now to tell them he wouldn't be playing. It was just like Vivian’s disregard for their contract agreement!
Or perhaps, this was a coordinated scheme he and Vivian had come up with.
Jonah's expression immediately hardened.
“Jay, are you willing to break our agreement because of a personal vendetta?"
Jay shrugged nonchalantly. His expression made it clear he knew there was nothing they could do to him.
His family was rich, so he could easily pay the breach of contract f*e.
Renee glanced at Jay, completely unperturbed, while Jonah grew increasingly agitated. "Jonah, check around and see if there is a suitable pianist available. If not, I can play."
“Alright!"
Two seconds later, Jonah's mind parsed Renee’s words to his brain and he suddenly realized what he just agreed to.
Did Renee just say she would play the piano?
