She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 318

Hector wanted her dead. Meanwhile, Hester was pressuring Octavia to sign over the Sutton family shares.

Killing two birds with one stone.

Sabrina shifted gears, her tone suddenly changing as she brought up something else.

“So, what was your plan for the night of the party?”

Her voice was deceptively calm. “Don’t play games with me. I know you were the one who hired that thug with acid—you wanted me out of the picture.”

She leaned in, her words sharp as broken glass. “If you lie to me, even once, I’ll send you straight to hell. So choose your words carefully.”

Hester shuddered, panic surging through her.

She knows? How could she possibly know?!

A dozen frantic questions flashed through Hester’s mind, but the only thing she knew for sure was that she didn’t want to die—not here, not like this. If she confessed everything, there’d be no way out for her. She’d only dig her own grave faster.

Trembling, she burst into tears, her voice breaking.

“The acid didn’t hurt you! It was me and Mom who suffered. Please, stop making wild accusations…”

But Sabrina was done listening. Impatience darkened her expression, her jaw set.

“Did you really think I wouldn’t go through with it?” Sabrina’s voice was icy. “You’re a liar—I don’t need you to tell me what I already know.”

At some point, a knife had appeared in Sabrina’s hand, gleaming under the harsh light. She started toward Hester, each step deliberate and unhurried.

Hester tried to shrink back, but she was trapped—soaking in a washtub, nowhere to run. Her wide, terrified eyes locked on the approaching blade, tracking Sabrina’s every move.

“Sabrina… Please, I’m begging you! Let me go, I promise—I’ll stay away from the Suttons, I’ll never come near you again…”
