Eddie wasn’t ready to talk, and neither Bradley nor Cameron wanted to push him.
Cameron said, “Eddie, you look exhausted. Why don’t you go get some rest?”
“That’s probably a good idea,” Eddie, replied, standing up.
Eddie ended up staying with Cameron and Bradley for half a month.
During his stay, Bradley had the foresight to put away all the sharp objects in the house.
Cameron was worried, “Brad, this isn’t working. Should we tell your parents?”
Bradley gently ruffled her hair. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. You’re pregnant. Let me handle it.”
Cameron hugged him softly. “Then please try to help Eddie, okay?”
Bradley kissed her forehead. “I will.”
Soon, Bradley found Eddie beside the window.
Eddie was sitting in front of it, staring blankly outside.
Bradley patted his shoulder and sat down beside him. “Eddie, you can’t keep running away like this.”
Eddie turned to look at him, murmuring, “Running away?”
Bradley met his melancholy gaze. “Isn’t that what you’re doing?”
Eddie couldn’t deny it.
He was indeed running away.
When he found out that Vicki knew about his shameful past, he didn’t even have the courage to face her.
He hid away in Viremont, neglected his own psychology practice, cut off contact with everyone except Bradley, and tried to disappear from
his family.
But what was the point?
The problem was still there, staring him in the face
Bradley said, “Eddie, you either need to take the leap or cut it off for good. Stop torturing yourself.”
Eddie lowered his gaze, saying nothing.
Take the leap?
Then what? Let Vicki turn him down?
He couldn’t even bring himself to imagine that.

Chapter 776
As for cutting it off completely… Eddie had tried. For the past half month, he’d been telling himself to let her go, but she kept haunting his thoughts.
He just couldn’t do it.
So, all he could do was let the days drag on.
Seeing Eddie’s silence, Bradley sighed heavily.
“Eddie, Cam and I are really worried about you. If Mom and Dad found out what you’re going through, they’d be worried sick too,” he said.
“Don’t tell Mom and Dad,” Eddie said, glancing at him.
Bradley patted his shoulder. “Relax, I won’t say a word. Just stay

A month later, Cameron was four months along.
Bradley said he wanted to take her out for a little outing, leaving Eddie at home by himself.
Eddie spent two days at their house alone, feeling restless and with not a single person to talk to.
Just then, a hesitant figure appeared at the entrance of the villa.
When Eddie spotted the silhouette he’d been longing for through the floor–to–ceiling window, his eyes widened instantly, and his mind went blank. ‘Am I dreaming?‘ he wondered.
But it was afternoon, and the sun was shining brightly.
He was completely awake. This wasn’t a dream.
Vicki stood at the villa’s entrance in a pink cashmere coat, sunlight casting a soft halo over her silky hair as she looked into the villa.
Eddie felt like he could barely breathe.
The next second, he shot up from the floor. In his rush, his knee slammed into the bedframe, making him wince. But he didn’t care; he limped downstairs as fast as he could.
For more than a month, Vicki had been the only thing on his mind.
He had to see for himself if this was real or just his mind nlaving tricks on him
