“Even if she decides to livestream by then, we won’t have to worry,” Silas said smugly. “After all, she was the one who made the mistake and refused to admit it. Once the truth comes out, her entire public image will crumble.” 

Rick’s temple throbbed. “Silas, Sharon isn’t someone to be taken lightly. Calling her here might only make things worse.” 

Silas scoffed. “Sharon’s just good at bluffing. How can you be afraid of someone like her? Besides, I doubt she’ll even dare to come. She’s already crossed Jamie and Lex. Offending another two major international families would be suicide. And with the front desk downstairs, she wouldn’t be able to get up here anyway. I just want to vent my anger, that’s all.” 

The truth was, Silas simply couldn’t swallow his pride. Because of Sharon, that morning’s meeting had nearly turned into a public inquisition against the Kalen family men. He’d seen the online chatter too-people were calling him a hypocrite. 1

Rick thought it over and had to admit Silas had a point. Sharon had always been defiant-now that she’d offended so many powerful people, she’d more likely be running for her life than showing up here.
