Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 367

Chapter 367

Ever since Nate went head-to-head with Sharon, things had only gone downhill for him.

If not for the fact that he was the heir of the Hendricks family-and for Carter’s help-he would’ve been done for a long time

ago.

It wasn’t until Carter pointed it out that Nate finally snapped back to reality. Compared to those so-called “brothers” of his, Carter mattered far more.

He was just bitter that Sharon had openly threatened, right in front of them last night, to expose his little clique. And the worst part? She really did it. By the next morning, it was all over the internet.

Still, no matter how pissed he was, he didn’t want this to affect Carter or the company. Nate wasn’t that stupid. He knew how to weigh the pros and cons.

“I’m sorry, Carter,” Nate admitted, lowering his voice. “I wasn’t thinking straight. I just didn’t want their mess dragging you into it. That’s why I asked you to take it off the trending list.”

Carter’s voice was ice. “If you don’t want their mess tied to us, then don’t take it down. We’re doing the opposite. We’ll issue a public statement. Draw a clear line between us and them.”

Nate nodded immediately. “Got it. I’ll get someone on it right now.”

At that moment, Sharon’s phone buzzed. It was a call from Julliard.

“Sharon, I’m sorry. I’ve been out on business these past few days. I had no idea Nate was pulling all this. I would’ve warned you

sooner.”

Sharon didn’t blame him-in fact, she was genuinely grateful for how often he’d quietly helped her.

“Julliard, you’ve done more than enough for me. I really appreciate it. If you ever need anything from me, just say the word. Let

me know in advance.”

There was a small pause before Julliard chuckled lightly. “Actually… there is something.”

“What is it?” she asked.

“I heard you’re planning a concert,” he said. “Could you save me a good seat?”

Sharon was a little surprised.

She knew very well why the Hendricks Group and Biggs Group had been working overtime to promote her lately. It wasn’t charity. They just didn’t want the public thinking they were greedy, heartless capitalists. Propping her up as the face of charity and the arts was the quickest way to fix their image.

She was happy to play along. If it helped her, why not? The free publicity was boosting her reputation far beyond Kelly’s now.

Still, hearing this from Julliard caught her off guard. “You… actually want a ticket to my concert?”

“Why? Is that a problem?”

“No, it’s not that…” Sharon hesitated. “It’s just… isn’t Kelly holding a concert too? You’re not going to hers?”

Julliard chuckled softly. “Her violin is technically excellent, I won’t deny that. But I prefer the way you play. Everyone has their

own tastes. I’m sure Nate and Carter will understand.”

Hearing him say that, Sharon’s lips curved into a small smile. “Alright then. I’ll save you the best seat in the house.”

Once the mess with Matty and Theo was finally resolved, Matty moved back into Sharon’s home.

The two of them still needed to rehearse for their upcoming foreign language competition.

To her surprise, Sharon quickly realized Matty had an incredible gift for languages. Maybe it was because of his young age-his memory was like a sponge.

She only needed to go over something with him three times before he could recite it back perfectly, clearly and fluently.

For this performance, they’d chosen Spanish.

Matty’s French was decent, but he was far less familiar with other languages. Luckily, it was just a recitation. With enough practice, he could memorize it.

If it were a written exam… well, that would be a different story.
