Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 373

Chapter 373

Uriah glanced at Sharon. “You’re that confident, huh? I heard Kelly’s pretty well-educated.”

Wendy winked playfully at him. “Just wait. Sharon’s gonna blow Kelly’s socks off so fast she won’t even see it coming.”

Agrin slowly spread across Uriah’s face. “Oh, good. I can’t wait to see that.”

Watching the two of them whisper conspiratorially, clearly daydreaming about Kelly’s incoming humiliation, Sharon let out a helpless chuckle.

For someone his age, Uriah had the spirit of an overgrown kid -a rascal disguised in an elder’s skin.

A little while later, the teacher came over to notify Sharon and Matty that it was their turn to prepare.

Surprisingly, this time, they didn’t run into Nate, Carter, or anyone else looking to stir up trouble.

The whole process went smoothly, almost unnervingly so.

It felt like the eerie calm before a storm.

Even Matty noticed. His little eyes darted left and right, scanning the backstage area nervously.

“Sharon… why didn’t Nate and Kelly come to mess with us today?” he asked.

Sharon gave him a calm smile. “Maybe they think the win is already in their pocket.”

After all, Theo was convinced she didn’t know any foreign languages.

And Kelly and her crew? They thought her middle school diploma made her beneath notice.

Soon, the two of them stepped onto the stage.

The moment the spotlight hit, Madeline, seated in the audience, let out a sharp, disdainful snort.

“Hmph,” she sneered. “A woman with nothing but a middle school education, who used a child to gold-dig her way into our family… and now? Using our family as a stepping stone to latch onto richer men. Absolutely shameless.”

Denise tugged at her. “Mom… lower your voice. Theo’s right here. What are you saying?”

Madeline didn’t so much as flinch. “What, did I say something wrong? If she had even a shred of real ability, would Theo need to drag an outsider to help him with the competition? Sharon is nothing but a stain on the Biggs family’s name.”

Denise shot her mother frantic glances, subtly signaling her to shut up. “Mom… seriously.”

Seeing this, Kelly hurriedly stepped in to smooth things over. “Madeline, the performance is about to start. Let’s just watch first.

Madeline clicked her tongue but fell silent for now.

On stage, Sharon and Matty began their performance.

Sharon was stunning. Her voice was clear, melodic, every movement poised and elegant. The way she carried herself was effortless and magnetic.

Her pronunciation was flawless. Enunciation crisp. Absolutely a perfect, textbook-level delivery.

And Matty? He didn’t miss a beat. His tone rose and fell with natural rhythm. His emotions were vivid and real, breathing life

into his lines.

The judges even chuckled softly at some parts, genuinely charmed.

When the performance ended, the applause was instant.

Nate curled his lip, scoffing. “Tch. Memorizing lines, that’s all. Bet she doesn’t even know what she was saying ”

Madeline sneered, arms crossed. “This competition’s standards must be rock-bottom. People like her, with zero real skills and all tricks, shouldn’t even be allowed on stage. Lowers the whole bar.”

As they grumbled, the judges began to hold up their scorecards.

And to everyone’s surprise, absolute uniformity. Perfect hundreds across the board.

Except, one judge suddenly raised a sign.

A zero.
