Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 395

Chapter 395

“If you don’t know what’s good for you,” Nate sneered, “and if Carter steps in himself… it won’t end this nicely for you.”

Sharon’s voice was calm, almost indifferent. “First time I’ve seen someone try to steal something with this much confidence. But since you’ve made your position so clear… giving up this place isn’t entirely impossible.”

Wendy’s face shifted. “Sharon…”

Nate grinned, satisfied. “Smart girl.”

Sharon continued, “We signed a five-year lease on this studio. We spent months designing and renovating it. If you want it, you’ll pay for the rent, the renovation costs, and the breach penalty. And since I’m in the middle of preparing for a concert, having to find a new place now would disrupt rehearsals. Mental damages seem fair, don’t you think?”

Nate scowled, waving his hand impatiently. “Cut the crap. Just give me a number.”

Sharon pretended to think for a few seconds. “Alright. Since we know each other, I’ll keep it simple. Ten million.”

Nate nearly choked. “How much?!”

“Ten million,” she repeated without blinking. “You pay me that, and I’ll let you have the studio.”

Nate exploded. “Sharon, why don’t you just go rob a bank?! Ten million? You could buy this whole building for that!”

He’d expected her to open high. But not this high. Not straight into the stratosphere.

Sharon stayed perfectly calm. “Then go buy it. Buy it outright, and nobody will fight you for it.”

Nate’s face twisted in fury. The anger surged so fast, it drowned out all sense. “Fine. I’ll—”

A quiet voice cut in before he could finish.

“Nate,” Julliard said, “you’ve been burning through money on pointless things lately. You’re already overextended.”

It was like someone dumped a bucket of ice water over Nate’s head. The fire in his brain fizzled out instantly.

Ten million for this studio? Only an idiot would actually do that.

Nate glared. Sharon was absolutely vicious. She’d clearly baited him into saying it, hoping he’d fall for it.

Just like last time-at that stupid auction-where he’d overpaid for worthless junk he still couldn’t resell. The smear campaign he’d tried to run against Sharon backfired so badly, the internet labeled him a “parasite capitalist.” He’d bled even more money on PR trying to clean it up.

The stock price of the Hendricks Group still hadn’t recovered.

No. He didn’t have that kind of money anymore.

Nate shot Sharon one last murderous look. Thank God for Julliard. If he hadn’t stepped in, he’d have fallen right into her trap again.

Sharon was absolutely full of poison, he kept thinking.

He knew now-there was no way she’d back down today. No easy win.

Nate clenched his jaw. “You’ll regret this, Sharon.”

Then, without another glance, he turned to Kelly. “Kelly. Let’s go.”

Kelly cast Sharon a final glance, then silently followed him out.

Julliard gave Sharon a slight nod before quietly trailing after them.

The second the door shut, Wendy spat, “So it was those two bastards who wanted our studio!”

Sharon’s lips curved faintly. “Same people who offered me an obscene amount of money to compose for them.”

Wendy groaned, pressing a hand to her forehead. “What is with these people? You divorced them. Why are they still haunting you like ghosts?” (1

Just then, a gentle knock came at the door.

A woman’s clear voice floated in from outside. “Excuse me… is this Jaron Studios?”
