Chapter 532
The man frowned slightly at her words. “No, I don’t remember anything.”
Sharon found that hard to believe. “You don’t remember? Are you saying you’ve lost your memory?”
The doctor had already examined him. Aside from a mild concussion and some superficial injuries, there were no other issues.
“Lost…memory?” the man echoed in confusion. “I really don’t remember anything.”
Sharon’s breath caught in her throat. Her eyes stayed fixed on his face.
There was a dazed look in his expression. “Do you know my name?” he asked.
He didn’t even remember his name?
That was… deeply unsettling.
Without hesitation, Sharon pressed the call button and brought the doctor back in.
After listening to her account, the doctor gave the man another thorough examination.
The final conclusion was, “Whenever the brain suffers a concussion, there’s a possibility of memory loss. And in cases like his, amnesia often can’t be detected right away. The human brain is mysterious and fragile. Unfortunately, there’s no effective treatment for memory loss.”
Sharon felt a headache coming on.
She had just spoken with the man. He truly didn’t remember his own name.
He didn’t have any identification on him. No wallet. No phone. Nothing.
It was as if he had left the house in a hurry, without time to bring anything with him. 1
Faced with a situation like this, Sharon couldn’t handle it alone. She called Wendy and Xavier to come help.
When Wendy arrived at the hospital, she couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow, he’s pretty handsome.”
The man gave her a small smile. “Thank you for the compliment.”
Wendy thought to herself, ‘Surprisingly polite, too.’
Sharon turned to Xavier. “Xavier, I don’t think he’s from Zachemaine. I asked the police, but they couldn’t identify him. Could I trouble you to look into it?”
Xavier’s sharp gaze landed on the man’s face.
The man met his eyes calmly, his expression open and harmless, a polite smile on his lips. “Hello.”
Xavier asked, “Do you remember your name?”
The man shook his head. “No.”
“What do you remember?”
He thought for a moment. “Nothing, really.”
Then, as if recalling something, he added, “Well, I still remember everyday things. Like how to eat, drink… I can read. Does that
count?”
Xavier was speechless. Was he overthinking this? Why did it feel like the man was messing with him?

Sharon spoke up from the side, “The doctor said it’s normal for him to retain basic knowledge”
After all, memory loss didn’t mean he’d lost the ability to take care of himself.
“Oh, right.” The man suddenly pointed to the necklace around his neck. “I just noticed, there’s a name engraved on the back of this pendant. It says Thomas.”
Sharon asked, “Can we take a look?”
The man removed the necklace and handed it to her. “Of course.”
She examined it. The necklace wasn’t anything expensive, just a simple silver chain. The pendant was also ordinary in design, with nothing particularly special about it.
But it was well maintained, either from regular care or constant wear-clean, polished, and in good condition.
Xavier studied it closely as well, but didn’t find anything unusual.
Wendy offered, “Maybe that’s his name.”
Sharon paused in thought for a few seconds, then took a few photos of the man.
“Xavier, I saw this man at Uriah’s birthday party. Could you ask around and see if any of the guests remember him?”
Both Xavier and Wendy turned to look at her.
“You’ve seen him before?”
Sharon nodded. “Yes, but only briefly, in the garden. It’s possible he wasn’t even part of the banquet.”
Xavier said, “Alright, I’ll look into it.”
He made a call, then sent the photos of the man and the necklace to his assistant.
