Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 553

Chapter 553

Denise wasn’t particularly interested in men. But no one could completely ignore something beautiful.

Thomas started talking to her too.

As their conversation deepened, Denise found herself treating him like a confidant.

She wasn’t the kind of person who could keep things to herself. A few casual questions from Thomas, and she spilled everything about her family like a bag of marbles tumbling open.

From the state of her household, she moved on to her brother, and then to Sharon and Theo. By the end of the afternoon, Thomas had a clear picture of the entire Biggs family.

It wasn’t until Carter called to check in and told her that Theo had been rescued that Denise finally stopped talking.

Soon after, under arrangements made by Carter’s assistant, Thomas made his way to the hospital, where he ran into Wendy and Xavier. They went up together.

Later, after leaving the hospital, Sharon and Wendy sat in the back seat of the car. Xavier drove, while Thomas took the

passenger seat.

Wendy couldn’t hold back her question. “Sharon, what happened? You’ve raised Theo all these years, and nothing like this has ever happened. Why was he suddenly kidnapped this time?”

Sharon leaned back, tired. “I suspect this whole kidnapping was orchestrated by Kelly.”

The car fell silent.

All eyes turned to her.

Wendy finally spoke. “Sharon, do you have any proof?”

Sharon shook her head. “That man, Dillon… his attitude said enough. He didn’t admit it outright, but his words were ambiguous. Theo was there, but I doubt he understood the nuances.”

Wendy frowned. “So Kelly arranged Theo’s kidnapping to stage a pity play? She really went all in. She must’ve realized Carter started suspecting her because of what Uriah said… so this was her response?”

Sharon turned her eyes toward the passing night outside the window. “Dillon’s gun was real. I think Kelly genuinely wanted me

dead.”

Wendy gasped. “No way. She’s always been good at playing the victim, and sure, being a mistress is one thing… but hiring a killer? She’s seriously crossed a line.”

Sharon replied, “It’s just my theory. We won’t know for sure unless we catch Dillon.”

At that moment, Xavier spoke from the driver’s seat, “I’ve already sent people after him. With Carter, Julliard, and myself involved, he won’t be able to hide for long.”

Sharon’s tone softened. “Thank you, Xavier.”

Wendy muttered, “I knew something was off. You went through all that trouble to rescue Theo, and then what does he do? He stays behind for Kelly. That foolish kid! She’s tricked him again.”

Sharon didn’t respond. She just kept watching the night blur past the window. But that wasn’t what was weighing on her mind.

What troubled her was something else entirely. Kelly had made sure Theo believed she knew the kidnapper. That meant Kelly might be planning to pin the entire kidnapping on her.

For a brief moment, Sharon couldn’t help

couldn’t kill Sharon, she’d turn herself into a victim.

When had Kelly become so clever?

The night was deep and silent. It was already 1:30 a.m.

Thomas stood by the window, phone in hand, staring across at the building where Sharon lived.

His voice drifted into the still darkness like a devil’s whisper.

“Sharon can’t die. At least… not until I say so. No one touches her before that.”
