Chapter 638
If it hadn’t been for Theo, Sharon knew she wouldn’t have endured her marriage for so long.
After the divorce, without a career she cared about, she doubted she would have recovered so quickly. She would have been broken,
lost, and uncertain about the future.
Thinking this over, Sharon nodded slightly in agreement.
Thomas was young but surprisingly perceptive-perhaps even more so than she was.
Sharon asked, “If you find that important person, what will you do?”
Thomas replied, “I’ll try to fulfill their wishes.”
No sooner had he spoken than his phone vibrated.
Stopping their conversation, Thomas said, “I need to take this call.”
Sharon nodded and watched him walk away.
Suddenly, she realized-besides them, Thomas actually had other contacts?
But it wasn’t too surprising. Thomas’s cheerful, sunny nature made it easy for him to quickly connect with people and make new
friends. 1
Before long, Sharon’s phone buzzed with a message from Julliard.
Julliard: [It’s done.]
Below was the restaurant’s address and the scheduled time.
After reading the message, Sharon called Uriah to inform him of the details.
Since Lex was unfamiliar with Amstern City, Sharon took the initiative to handle the restaurant reservation.
Uriah trusted her completely, without a hint of suspicion.
With the plan set, Sharon contacted Wendy.
Wendy had already arranged for the people Sharon had requested.
Sharon decided to leave early to make arrangements at the restaurant.
Before she left, she noticed Thomas was nowhere to be found.
“Wendy, where’s Thomas?” she asked.
Wendy searched around. “He was just here a moment ago. Where did he go?”

Just then, Thomas walked slowly in through the door. His usually smiling, handsome face was clouded with an uncharacteristic
shadow.
Sharon and Wendy exchanged a glance. They rarely saw Thomas show such an expression.
Wendy couldn’t help but ask, “Thomas, what’s wrong? Did something happen?”
Thomas’s voice tightened. “I have some matters to attend to outside for a while.”
He glanced at the time. “Sharon, when are you heading over?”
Sharon replied, “If you have things to deal with, go ahead. I can go by myself.”
Wendy frowned, but Sharon cut her off softly. “Don’t worry about me. Julliard will be there, too.”
Wendy finally relaxed a little.
But Thomas insisted, “Just tell me the time. I’ll do my best to get there.”
Wendy added, “No need, Thomas. If you have something to do, go handle it.”
She didn’t absolutely need Thomas there; she just thought he was capable and worried Sharon might be bullied by Lex if she were
all alone, so having him there would provide support.
With Julliard present, it didn’t matter much if Thomas went or not.
Although Julliard masked his feelings well, Wendy could still see the affection leaking through his eyes whenever he looked at
Sharon. 1
When you like someone, you can’t hide it.
Wendy had warned Sharon many times, but Sharon never took it seriously. So Wendy kept quiet-after all, the chances of Julliard
and Sharon being together were slim.
Just the relationship between Julliard and Carter alone made their union impossible. Perhaps that was the real reason Julliard
never confessed his feelings.
Julliard cared for Sharon deeply, and with him around, Sharon felt safe.
Thomas turned to Wendy. “Wendy, since I agreed, I will see it through.”
Though his expression remained calm, his tone carried a firm edge. “Tell me the time and place.”
Wendy was momentarily stunned and struggled to respond.
In the end, Sharon was the one who gave Thomas the details.
“Thomas, call or text me before you come. Don’t just show up without warning.”
