Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 674

Chapter 674

“After all, no matter how powerful she thinks she is, her reach can’t extend that far. At most, she can strut around here for show,

“Niel said.

At that moment, Kelly, who had been silent all along, finally spoke.

“Everything else I could perhaps overlook, but her disrespect toward our teacher… that I simply cannot accept.”

She then recounted in detail how, during the last competition, Sharon had shown not the slightest respect toward Maestro

Warner.

As they listened, everyone’s brows knitted tighter and tighter, their favorable impressions of Sharon vanishing without a trace.

Rena let out a cold huff. “For someone like her to be active in the music world is a disgrace to musicians everywhere.”

Johnny added, “I’ve already accepted Zachemaine’s invitation this time. Didn’t Kelly just say she’s competing as well? If she dares to treat our teacher with such arrogance, I want to see just how insolent she really is.”

The brown-haired man, David Astor, joined in with a hard edge to his voice. “To think she’d even exploit her late mother’s name for attention… This ignorant girl needs to be taught a proper lesson.”

At their indignant faces, Kelly’s lips curved ever so slightly, a smile so faint it was almost invisible.

Maestro Warner, who disliked idle gossip and backbiting, cut them off.

“Enough. Let’s not speak of this anymore. Change the subject.”

Reluctantly, the group shifted topics.

Suddenly, David seemed to recall something and turned to Maestro Warner.

“Teacher, coming to Zachemaine for musical exchange was secondary, wasn’t it? Wasn’t your main purpose to find Star? Have you found them?”

At the mention of that name, Kelly’s heart jolted violently.

Star? Wasn’t that Sharon? Why on earth would Maestro Warner be looking for her?

Her breath quickened, and without realizing it, she clenched her sleeve so tightly her knuckles went white.

Maestro Warner shook his head. “No.”

Rena asked curiously, “You’re unfamiliar with this place. Didn’t you ask anyone to help investigate?”

“I did,” Warner replied. “I asked Carter Biggs to look into it, but he couldn’t find anything either.”

After taking Kelly as his final student, Warner had once mentioned Star to Carter. Carter had agreed to search, but even he turned up nothing. If someone of Carter’s standing couldn’t find her, Warner could only give up for now.

Cautiously, Kelly ventured, “Teacher… why are you looking for Star?”

Warner’s expression softened. “I greatly admire a few of Star’s circulating compositions. I came this time hoping to purchase the adaptation rights. Ah… what a pity.”

The conversation then shifted to Star’s works, their words carrying unconcealed reverence and admiration.

Even though, back during the composition competition, Star had humiliated them soundly for their arrogance, none of them harbored resentment. If anything, it was a strange mix of awe and begrudging; admiration.

They even wished Star would return to the stage and crush them once more.

Even the proud and exacting Maestro Warner spoke of Star with nothing but praise.

As their discussion grew more animated, the group eventually moved into Warner’s music room to play together.

Warner owned property in Zachemaine, and his music room was fully equipped with instruments.

Rena, Johnny, David, and Niel picked up different instruments and joined in a lively ensemble, performing a rendition of First Love-a piece that made Kelly feel sick to her stomach.

Right then, she was so relieved that Sharon hadn’t agreed to put Star’s name on the three songs as the composer when she sold them to Kelly.

If Warner ever learned that Sharon was Star, Kelly’s painstaking efforts would be reduced to nothing.
